all the time. how someone can be completely atheist is beyond me.

damn, i used to pray a lot but for some reason in the last few months i havent been praying like i should. i dont know, ive been slipping like this for the past few years.

I wouldn't say that's trolling. It's a pretty blunt way to put it, but that's pretty much how I feel too. I don't believe in the boogieman..

 

On topic, I don't pray. But there have been times where I guess have, out of desperation in bad situations...just as a release. I guess.

I'm not a huge religion guy but I do believe in God and Jesus Christ.

 

I think its more of a habit but I dont feel right if I dont pray at night before I go to bed. Praying to me completes my day.

however I do hope people will have something better to offer than just "god is great" or "god is stupid".

I only pray during football games. Honestly, I see more benefits from meditating when I have the time (which isn't often, lately).

Same here with me, when I pray, I feel humbled. Humbled by a power I believe above me and who's love for those it created reached out and humbled his people. The best work can be done when you have been humbled. When you no longer have weights or expectations put on you and when you're in a place that it's your detemination not someone else's reaction to your work.

 

Prayer has changed my life in positive ways I simply do not deserve. I pray so I can return to those brief moments of euphoria even if's just for a brief moment.

Yeah, every night before sleep, and I pray about just about everything I can think of.

 

It's a comforting thought that somebody out there in the spiritual world has my back, because sometimes nobody in the human world does.

What's the point? When I went to church the pastor or whatever always said not to ritualize prayer and that just doing it for the sake of doing it was pointless. It's like when kids get in trouble and have to write, "I will not pull her hair" 75 times and granted you might mean it the first time, but it just gradually weakens. Then again, who am I to criticize people's views? Oh well. God and I have an understanding.

I just meen that no one believes in monster because they have never been seen, and has never been proven existed. And with the science of today its a known fact there is no monsters. Same exact properties with god. thats just the way I feel, just because it no where near any opinions of this board doesnt make me a troll.

The only times in my life that I actually got down on my knees and prayed were when my brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor and my sister had kidney failure. My entire life changed after these two events and I just found a new appreciation for my religion and the simple things in life that we take for granted on a daily basis.
