December 13, 200421 yr and this required a thread for itself? 633728 yes I have mixed feelings about AJ. He needs to exercise some control when it comes to speaking in front of the press...and he needs to start off well next season so he can get into a groove and make some noise on the NL Strikeout leaderboard.
December 13, 200421 yr and this required a thread for itself? 633728 Id say that that is significant.
December 13, 200421 yr The Marlins are going to have to deal with AJ at some point. The question is when?
December 13, 200421 yr ROTOWORLD: ESPN's Peter Gammons said tonight that the proposed Javier Vazquez-A.J. Burnett swap won't take place. The Marlins likely will hold on to Burnett and see where they are in July. While the popular belief is that Ben Sheets might be everyone's target at the trade deadline, Burnett could be the better bet of the two to be available

December 13, 200421 yr No way the Marlins can pull off a similar deal in July. It's hard enough to find one competitive team willing to give up a good player. Let alone one in the middle of a pennant race. 2006 rotation: Beckett, Willis, Jason Johnson, Leiter, one of the Jupiter Five

All we have to hope is AJ stays healthy.
December 13, 200421 yr Its NOT over....the Yankees are trying to get out of certain contracts, if that happens they'll be more incline to taken on certain salaries and players. :whistle Marlins2003 is right Also expect so more moves before Tuesday :hat Cashman has always wanted AJ badly, he was su*ker in 5 years ago to take a couple of over-rated prospects for Lowell, instead of AJ by Dealin Dave. He'll come back to the table, especailly if Wright doesn't get a passing grade.
December 13, 200421 yr Its pretty much all about money. If we could get atleast 10 million of vazquez paid, and maybe unload encarnacion we should do it. Because that way with the money we save we could just sign someone like Millwood.

We might have to shock the world again. :shifty Come on Beiny work your magic.

I don't really put much credibility into what he says.
