Well how about that the team caved and gave him the extra 50k he wanted. So all you people who said the team must of had other reasons not to have signed him you seem to be wrong. Last month the team offered 425k, he wanted 475k. Guess what they resigned him for, 475k.

He wanted 500k. They gave him 475 plus 25k in incentives. You gotta save money where you can man.

In late December, the Marlins declined offering Perisho salary arbitration, making the left-hander a free agent. At that time, the team was offering $425,000.

And the Marlins aren't done shopping. The team still needs a left-handed bat, a fifth starter to replace Ismael Valdez, who declined the team's offer of salary arbitration Sunday, and likely will look into some left-handed relief help after refusing to come up with the extra $50,000 it would have taken to sign Matt Perisho.

To me if the team was offering 425k and he wanted 50k more that means he wanted 475k. So if they offered 25k in in incentives on top of it that means they seemingly paid more than he originally wanted.

CL - Mota

SU - Spooneybarger

MR - Alfonseca

MR - Jones

MR - Riedling

MR - Perisho

LR - Bump

Not too shabby.. Should be interesting to see how this group turns out.

Depends on whether we start the season with 6 or 7 in the pen. Justin Wayne would also have a chance of beating out Bump.

The Marlins non-tendered Matt Perisho, but they may opt to reopen negotiations. The two sides were about $75,000 apart at the line and Perisho opted for free agency. He has already received at least one offer greater than the $500,000 he was asking for from the Marlins.

anyway its really a moot point but I know you truly love criticizing the FO.
