Scariest moment of my life

Featured Replies

So I'm driving home from a friend's at around 1030. I'm on the phone with my girlfriend driving about 60 MPH on a 4 lane road. All is good no cars were around when I turned onto this road which I am only on for about 2 miles. So I'm driving along about 60 when out of no where I see someone about 20 feet from me and gaining fast. He drills me in the back, and somehow I keep control of the vehicle. I am beyond freaked(never been in an accident and this was so weird) so I dial 911 and drive about another mile with the person following me then I pull over near an intersection. The person keeps driving and drives off. I am so scared at this point and a nice guy stops to help, my parents come, and finally the cops come.

I look at the back of my car and it is pretty much destroyed. I'll post pics some other day. Well turns out the guy hit me so hard his license plate was indented backwards on my car. They found a car in the computer that matched the description living about 45 minutes from where I was. Cops are heading over there now, but I'm still freaked.

How could he not see me? It was flat for a bunch of miles. I'm pretty sore right now. Ah geez. I can't get that image of the headlights right behind me and then the impact.

You're one of the lucky ones. I was a victim of a hit and run accident and we never found the a**hole that hit me. Just calm down and try to relax. You're okay, that's what's most important.

I bet he saw you, but was trying to pass from the inside lane and ran out of room after he floored it and couldn't slam on the brakes in time. He had to hit hard and be going hella fast if he hit hard enough to imprint his liscene plate.

A couple weeks ago at a Marlins spring training game, some woman was pulling out of the parking lot and got hit by a suv going about 20. The SUV just backed up and zoomed off.

Oh well that guy who hit you will get his now. Fleeing the scene charges are rough.

I got slammed into on the Palmetto several years back & the guy would have to have been asleep not to see me. He drove off also & the police couldn't find the car. My best guess is that he/she was either drunk or driving without insurance. Or was just an a-hole I guess.

At the time I was driving an older car & didn't have full coverage on it, so the damage left me without a car for a while.

People suck.

Glad you're okay & that they found the guy.

Wow, glad your ok. You feel very scared when your defenseless.

Well home on spring break so its more like Warrentowned...haha

But anyways I havent heard anything form the state cops, but hopefully will get some good news later today

I saw the license plate thing for first time this morning...didn't see it last night, but its crazy...exact replica of the plate right on my rear bumper

Be sure to have a doctor examine you. Rear-end collisions often provoke long-term neck and back ailments -- even if you feel fine afterwards. Trust me, I know from experience.

glad to know your ok. dont understand people sometimes, dude was probably drunk or something.

They got him...dude doesn't remember where it happened. He thinks it happened about 30 miles away from where the accident actually occured. He also didn't stop because he was 'afraid his Durango would stall'. :plain

Oh how he is going to pay for this

That's almost as bad as the excuse O's pitcher Eric Dubose gave for his DUI.

Play this right and said a**hole will make you rich as well as fix your car.
