April 10, 200521 yr We got so much talent in this team that it makes me so sick when we can only score 2 runs in a game we should be as off 2day 4-0 because all three of our losses have come out because our team wants to sit on there asses and score 2 runs per game. The marlins need to stop eatin so much s*** and need to relax and have fun. :banghead
April 10, 200521 yr Tough game, but you can't win them all. We got Beckett going tommorow to win the series.
April 10, 200521 yr Author Come on man with this much talent we should have raped Livan he came into the game with like a 7 ERA the marlins players are just trying to do things they cant.
April 10, 200521 yr Author Thank god we got Beckett tommorrow ill be at the game tommorrow and hopefully we'll have a good game.

He has dominated the fish in his career. I don't think anyone expected our offense to pounce on him.
April 10, 200521 yr the only problem we have is chicken little posts we were hitting the ball hard tonight right at people.. we're just not getting any breaks. we'll be fine
April 10, 200521 yr This game would have been over if the American League scoreboard was 3 inches shorter.
April 10, 200521 yr Author Its really depressing when you seem to be hitting the ball hard only when there no runners on base. Most of our homeruns this season seem to be solo shots. :confused

Over the course of the year, days like this will not happen often - normally if you hit the ball hard consistently you're going to do well over the long run.
April 10, 200521 yr Livan before tonight was 8-4 vs. the Marlins and had like a 2.54 ERA against us. Lets look at the positives shall we: Delgado hit a monster shot. There is no doubt that the right field wall isn't going to be much of a factor since most of his homer's that he pulls are like that. Conine started and hit the ball very well. Encarnacion continues to look good at the plate. AGon, save for his first ab, is looking more and more patient at the plate. Moehler pitched well other than the two mistake pitches. The bullpen performed great again tonight, except this time Antonio got victimized on a deep center shot. You have to give credit where credit is due and the Nationals played a great game tonight. Nothing you can do about it. But its only the 5th game of the year. The Marlins should win tomorrow. And also, the attendance was over 30,000 which is great. Especially for a game against the Nationals.

April 10, 200521 yr Did we even hit into a DP tonight? I don't recall any at all other than the one the Nats hit into.
April 10, 200521 yr Did we even hit into a DP tonight? I don't recall any at all other than the one the Nats hit into. 735925 Lenny hit into one.
April 10, 200521 yr 5 games into the season guys...big deal. 735959 Remember this when the hate of the Mets hits the boards in about 15 minutes.

April 10, 200521 yr The pitching has been awesome, but the Marlins haven't been scoring runs when they need to, just like last year.
April 10, 200521 yr Its really depressing when you seem to be hitting the ball hard only when there no runners on base. Most of our homeruns this season seem to be solo shots. :confused 735902 FYI a majority of everyone's HRs are solo shots.
April 10, 200521 yr So far it's either been we win a blow out, or we lose a close one. It will even out eventually. Nice clutch hits by Delgado and Pierre tonight. Looked like Alex was robbed by a strike three call at the ankles.

But seriously, it's true. We hit the big ones when we don't need them so much.
April 10, 200521 yr This still feels like 2004 part 2 to me. We did this all last year where we'd blow them out in one game and then lose heartbreaker pitcher's duels in the other two. It's frustrating and disconcerting.
