I met Kurt Abbott and Greg Colbrunn at this sports store, where I got a few autographs, pictures and I talked to him for a few minutes. If I had a scanner I could scan the pictures :(

I met Al Leiter at this place where I got him to sign his no-hitter tickets ;)

hmmm, dontrelle and juan on multiple occassions, miggy, pavano, spoony, borland, redmond, mikey, hee seop, lenny harris, nunez, mordi a buncha times, hmm as well as len tommy and craig :thumbup

I met Miguel Cabrera last year when the Marlins had to play at the White Sox place.. Got his autograph.. :) However I told him "Hopefully we see ya in the playoffs this year." That never happened.. Now this year better happen :)

I've personally met (as in had a good conversation with) Ryan Dempster and Brian Edmondson. I have said "hi" or gotten auographs from a few others when they were in AA, though.

I have personally met Antonio Alfonseca in the year 2000, he was a very nice guy, very talkative, I got an autograph from him, and told him hope he will have a great season closing. I also got to meet Al Lieter this year at gate A, he was very nice, and very friendsly with the kids, even asking them that why were they out so late on a school night, and reminding them the importance of a major league education. Tha same day I met Luis Castillo who stopped his car when he saw me, met Todd Jones, seemed very pissed cause the Marlins had lost that day, and met the 3rd base coach jeff cox. Another Marlin I met was Alex Fernandez at a banquet hall for Regions bank, cause my mother in laws boss is his wife's sister. At first he denied he was Alex, but then after his sister and law told him I was a fan he finally admitted it, after telling me several times, I've heard of the guy, but he's not me, do you know how many people confuse me for being him? He sounded honest too, lol, well anyway like 2 weeks later after giving a picture frame of him to my mother in law, he sent it back signed ;-). P.S. hope this isn't written with grammar errors, had to rush, I'm at work! ENJOY!

Couple of years ago at a spring training game in Brevard, I kind talked to AJ Burnett. He was walking away below the concourse I was on and I didnt want to stop him and harass him because that would have been stupid. But these kids kept trying to get his attention and had no clue who he was so I gave them a hand. I whispered to them that his name was AJ Burnett and told them to tell him that his no hitter was awesome. He thanked them.

i have met a lot of player. i met spooney, pavano, millar and floydin snap shot sunday. and met antonio alfonseca, choi, gonzalez, and lowell on the field.

*my dads friend lives next to mike hampton.*

I've said at least hello to just about everyone on the Marlins roster (with the exception of the new guys) and I've talked with Loria at a Mets Marlins game and I was at a dinner party with Huizenga in 2002.

My most bizarre meet a Marlin moment was coming home from a night game last year. I stopped at the Pompano service plaza on the Turnpike to get gas and at the pump next to me was Pavano. I looked at him, didn't believe it was him because it was so soon after the game, but he saw my Marlins hat, nodded at me and I just gave him a thumbs up. At the time, I really swear I thought it was just a look-a-like because he wasn't that much taller than I was, but the next day I saw him leave the players parking lot in the same car I saw him in at the service plaza.

A. J. Burnett and Ryan Dempster

Fan Fest 1999....small crowd. There was a 4 on 4 wiffle ball game going on in the Bermuda triangle. As the game started the 2 of them came by and asked if they could join our team. I knew of A. J., as the #1 on the depth chart. Never heard of Dempster, asked him what position he played. The 2 played the game with me and my son for 20-30 minutes. They were like little kids. Really into the game. It was great. Told my son at the time that this A.J. kid could one day be a superstar.

I've met AJ while he was practicing before a game near the bullpen, I was in the first row and he came over and shook my hand and talked for a bit. He's really nice.

One more, since it seems everyone has an AJ story.

In 2002, my friend and I got to the game about 20 mins before the game started, and as we got to the 100 level by the wing-stand, I saw AJ and Josh driving a golf-cart around and I just yelled "Josh!" because he was the one driving. He stops, right in front of me and my friend, and he and AJ just start talking with us. Josh had the blisters at the time (the first batch, lol) and he showed them to us because my friend asked him how bad they were, but they were pretty small and I remember telling him "you're lucky we don't have anything to play for this year because I'd hope you'd play through those if these games mattered" and he just shook his head and said "yeah, there's no reason to risk it now."

Only thing that stunk was that neither of us had a camera to get some pictures with them, but they spoke with us for a while, and since the stadium was pretty empty, I think they were flattered that someone actually knew who they were.
