August 15, 200520 yr Ok, this guy was garbage with us. Straight unadulterated garbage. And then he went to the Yanks and has become a force to be reckoned with. It's not because of the Yanks defense, their defense sucks. It's not due to the different ballparks. New York is even more prone to negatively affect a persons performance. So what the heck changed? What epiphany did this guy have that made him go "well I think I'm going to stop being a crappy pitcher whos a waste of a roster spot."???

August 15, 200520 yr Author He'll come back down to earth soon enough. Sure don't look like it'll happen too soon.
August 15, 200520 yr this guy is a career minor leaguer. So is not like the Marlins passed on him. with that said. I'm happy the guy is playing well, must be nice for him and his family to finaly perform on the big show.
August 15, 200520 yr Author I am not saying I am not happy for him. I am just saying I wish he could of played like this for us.
August 15, 200520 yr im glad he is doing well. glad to see him finally having some success. as much as i hate the Yankees I love seeing players who have been around forever finally get a nice break.
August 15, 200520 yr Plus he does have a pretty good offense behind him But when he's been starting the offense really hasn't been giving him that much run support...offense or no offense his era is sick in his starts...2.57 ERA in 6 starts
August 15, 200520 yr He's made 4 starts - two of his appearances were in relief. But, yeah, he's been good - his worst outing was the 5.1 IP, 3 ER appearance against Texas when he first got called up. I don't know how exactly, as he wasn't exactly being a sparkling pitcher down in the minors this year. Maybe having Giambi there is convincing him he's back in high school.

He's still having a heck of a season. Especially when considering he was 1-4 with a 4.96 in 11 games, 10 starts here in Columbus.
August 15, 200520 yr These things happen sometimes for no explicable reason. Maybe it's the New York City bagels.
August 15, 200520 yr Hey its good to see a former Marlin finally proudly do something for that tired old franchise. Look at all the X-Marlin stuff they can throw at somebody Kevin Brown, Al Leiter and well he can't pitch right now but Pavano too. the 05 Yankees look too much like the 97 Marlins with Sheffield.
August 15, 200520 yr its no big deal. remember matt perisho and manzy last year. both started out great, not look at them. also look at de los santos this year. once a mediocre pitcher, always a mediocre pitcher.
