Posted September 29, 200519 yr Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins extended his streak to 33 games tonight. Can he do "it"?
September 29, 200519 yr Jimmy Rollins and made Wade look good which is very hard to do, when he signed Rollins to that fat contract. He's closer to the plate and laying off pitches that used to kill him. He's made the last two games a little easier to swallow.
September 29, 200519 yr absolutely no way in hell especially since it'd have to carry over into next year
September 29, 200519 yr I hope he does it. It's always fun to see "unbreakable" records get broken*. *Not applicable for Marino's records being broken*
September 29, 200519 yr absolutely no way in hell especially since it'd have to carry over into next year Do they let that go? Like he ends the season w/ the streak, does it keep going next year?

September 29, 200519 yr Author absolutely no way in hell especially since it'd have to carry over into next year Do they let that go? Like he ends the season w/ the streak, does it keep going next year? no Yes it does. If he ends the season with a 37 game hit streak, he starts next season with a 37 game hit streak.

October 1, 200519 yr I was hoping he wouldnt get to 35, so Im glad it's over. He extended it to 34 tonight. :lol
October 1, 200519 yr I hope he gets to 55 and has it snapped. I don't want to have an asterisk by his record since he's clearly on steriods.
February 22, 200618 yr just remembered the other day that Rollins had a 36 game hitting streak going... could be fun if he keeps it up
February 22, 200618 yr just remembered the other day that Rollins had a 36 game hitting streak going... could be fun if he keeps it up That would be very very impressive. It usually takes guys a while to warm up at the beginning of the season.
February 22, 200618 yr wow completely forgot about this doubt he does it, 20 game hitting streaks are hard enough to come by in themselves, let alone at the beginning of the season, and imagine the pressure I really doubt it

April 3, 200618 yr Not just the Cards.. the Cy Young too.. I think he gets it though! If not against Carpenter it'll come against Pooper Looper!
April 3, 200618 yr come on JR did you know he was friends with Dontrelle growing up? I wish announcers would talk about that.
April 3, 200618 yr Yeah. He hit .278 in the spring, so starting off at an average pace. I bet he doesn't make it through the Cardinals series.
