First off, the patches.

PIT- 2006 All Star Game

STL- New Busch Stadium

TOR- 30th Anniversary

HOU- 45th anniversary in Houston

ATL- 40th anniversary in Atlanta

The Royals will eliminate all black from their uniform and logos. They will also bring out uniforms similar to the ones they had early on in their history.

Similar to these:

The piping on the sleeves is reportedly thicker, like the uni from the 80's.

Rumor has it th Brewers will bring back the "Ball-in-Glove" logo in some capacity.

The Devil Rays possible name changes include the following: Tarpons, Tourists, Manatees, Sharks, Panthers.

Better stick to D-Rays if those are the alternatives. Tourists is incredibly dumb, manatees are the worst animals on the planet, and there's already Panthers in Florida. Sharks might work, but still kinda meh.

Tampa Bay Red Sox Yankees would be the only name that could help that team.

I thought that said tampons....they better not use that one lol

Good move by Kansas City. I always thought the black didn't work.

So, Tampa Bay's name is changing then, eh? Sharks is probably the coolest one of that bunch; but, I hope they can come up with other (better) choices.

And I presume the White Sox 2005 Championship Patch is in the works as we speak.

No not "is" yet. Ownership hasn't made up their decision yet. Sorry I worded the sentence incorrectly.

What's funny is atlanta is celebrating 40 years from 1966-2006, and Houston is celebrating 45 years from 1962-2006.

Houston celebrates their 45th season of play. Atlanta celebrates their 40th Anniversary.

The Devil Rays possible name changes include the following: Tarpons, Tourists, Manatees, Sharks, Panthers.

manatees: speed bumps of the sea

manatees rule

manatees are the worst animals on the planet

manatees: speed bumps of the sea

In that case, it doesn't say too much about Marlins fans. Originally, Manatees was the name that won out in the fan contest to name the team in Miami. Wayne decided to go with Marlins due to the long minor league history that name had in Miami.

Brewers new Sunday Alternate:

Easily the best alternate in baseball.

Woot. Awesome baseball jersey is back.

Good stuff by the Brewers, let's bring back the sleeveless jerseys for Sundays Marlins... please? I really like those and own one.

Wow, that is sweet... I may look to get a Sheets one from some Santa money this year. Thanks for updating us.

I'm definitely buying the Brewers alternate hat.

I used to drive up from Chicago to watch the Brewers play back in the late 70's early 80's when they wore those uniforms. Those teams could tear the cover off the ball! Harvey's Wallbangers, I think they were called. Used to be a big rivalry between the Brewers and the Sox....

that really is the best logo ever

According to their website, the Minnesota Twins are introducing 2 new "alternate" jerseys for 2006.

First one is identical to the current home jersey (navy pinstripes, red numbers and letters), only it will be sleeveless, worn with a navy undershirt.

Second is another navy jersey, but rather than having "Twins" or "Minnesota" across the front (they already have those) it will have the interlocking TC logo over the right breast (right if you're looking at someone in it, left breast if you're wearing it).

This will be a total of 6 different jerseys for the Twins...is there really that much of a demand for Twins jerseys that these things are flying off the shelves?
