Wow.

There were rumblings that guy was going to win the title from an injured Batista that night, too (but you never know). Man, that sucks. This guy, when motivated, was one of the greats. He had an unforgettable series with Rob Van Dam and he always put on a good show for the fans.

RIP Eddie.

Los Gringos Locos, one of the greatest heel stables of all time has finally reunited. The same lifestyle that probably took Eddie's life had already taken his former partner's, Art Barr, and Louie Spicolli.

Eddie is truly a legend, some of the matches he had in Japan, and Mexico are truly 5 star classics. He also had the classic Mask Vs Title match vs Rey Mysterio at Havoc 97 which was probably the high point of CW wrestling in America and arguably one of the greatest PPV matches of all time. Eddie's career went down after that match as he mysteriously started bulking up but he was still one of the best worker's in the company but no where near the wrestler he was in the early and mid 90's. It's just a shame he had to abuse drugs and steroids, it destroyed his life, and now has ultimately taken in. Hopefully, this leads to changes in how wrestling encourages the use of roids and ultimately drugs when it comes to the schedule these guys have to work out of.

It's time companies where Roid use is non existent(Ring of Honor, among others) begin to rise up and provide an alternative to the big bodies the wwe pushes.

WWE News: Guerrero collapses and dies in hotel room, more details

By Wade Keller, Torch Editor

Nov 13, 2005, 12:42

Eddie Guerrero was found in his hotel room in Minneapolis with his toothbrush in his mouth. He apparently died while brushing his teeth. At this point, the belief among WWE personnel is that Guerrero died of heart failure.

Shortly after Guerrero's body was found and removed from the room, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko and Chavo Guerrero visited the hotel room to say their goodbyes. WWE wrestlers and staffers were visibly shaken and emotional while leaving the hotel to go the Target Center, the site of tonight's Raw/Smackdown taping. Word from WWE sources is that the tenor of tonight's taping will be dramatically different and that the Smackdown show will need to be revised.
