Rotoworld: LoDuca to Diamondbacks close?

Featured Replies

The Diamondbacks and Marlins could be close to agreeing to a Paul Lo Duca trade, the Miami Herald reports.

There was no mention of the players going the other way. Even without including the team's top prospects, Arizona has no shortage of inexpensive, major league ready players it can part with for Lo Duca. Included in that list are Greg Aquino, Alex Cintron, Chris Snyder, Scott Hairston, Luis Terrero and Brian Bruney. Dec. 2 - 11:44 pm et

their top 10

With Upton and Drew, they should part with Santos and he could move to 2B.

I would guess Santos and Snyder would be who we get...

Quentin or Conor Jackson would be very sweet.

Josh Willingham oldest starter? Wow..

Sergio Santos, SS, 22 years old

6'3, 190

Santos, 22, spent 2005 with Tucson, his first look at Triple-A. Arizona's first-round pick (27th overall) in the 2002 draft, hit .239 with 21 doubles, 12 home runs and 68 RBI in 132 games. Following a slow start over his first 25 games, he adjusted and batted .260 over the remainder of the season.

2004 AA - .282, 11 HR, 52 RBI

Still young... could be a good player. I wonder if they've thought about moving him to 2B at all? Seems like he has no future at all at SS with Arizona with Stephen Drew and Justin Upton in their organization.

What about Scott Hairston? He was pretty highly regarded a while ago but now is getting past the "prospect age".

Anything with Arizona will most definitely have to involve Chris Snyder i would assume.

At first I wanted to keep Castillo and LoDuca, but now I realize that you might as well just trade away everyone and start fresh...

I just want the season to start right now. Will get our minds off the players we traded(somewhat).

will it everytime you watch them take the field?

Watch the empty stands and see faces that you dont know?

Wont your mind turn back to think who is that pitching?

Who is that at 1st base?

Why didnt we get that double play like always before?

Who is that outfielder with an arm actually in CF?

I know I will next year. I love my fish and hope they stay but dang it this is killing me.

Just so that people know, Justin Upton hasn't signed with the Diamondbacks yet. It's more likely that he's going to be in next year's draft.

I would want at least Chris Snyder and either Sergio Santos or Scott Hairston (also plays 2B) for him. NO MORE PITCHERS. We have plenty now, and I thought our system had enough before any of these trades began. I would accept a major-league ready reliever tho.

I wouldn't mind Scott Hairiston, however I will go insane if they trade Lo Duca and all they get is more damn minor league pitchers.

I want Carlos Quentin but since that is kinda unrealistic especially with what we got in return for Castillo and the fact that it is known we will not pay in portion of any contract we deal. With that being said im hoping for Brain Bruney and Dustin Nippert but probably still unlikely. The Dbacks really don't have any real good hitting prospects others than Carlos Gonzales, Carlos Questin, Conor Jackson, Miguel Montero. Yes they have Drew and Upton but why even mention them.

I bet we would trade LoDuca for a couple of pitchers

That probably the best ting we can get from the Dbacks. Names to look out for are: Greg Aquino, Brain Bruney, Jason Bulger, Dustin Nippert, Casey Daigle, Sergio Santos, Chris Synder, Alex Cintron.
