Why are you sporting a Mets logo?

I was traded for a couple of bums in Astoria.

It was a market correction move.

Hilarious :plain

Maybe you should start posting on a Mets site instead of here than.

OT: Peter Gammons just said on XM Radio

"Josh Beckett's MRI was SO bad, the Red Sox are worried he may not get 20 starts."

Some Red Sox fans talking about it here...

So, if true, that really diminishes any perceived value of HanRam, doesn't it?

either that or Beinfest isnt as dumb as some people here percieve him to be.

How so, the Red Sox are the one who agreed to this trade. They poured over the medical records and gave back what they felt to be equal value for an injured pitcher, a declining slugger and a streakey middle reliever who can't handle the pressure of closing.

If the Marlins were to trade some of their abundant young pitching for Joey Gathright or someone else, who would be the prospect you would get rid of first??

Tankersly...but that won't get it done.

Well, it would diminish the Red Sox's perceived value of HanRam. Our FO probably still thought very highly of him. The Cubs obviously didn't think Willis's value was that high, we did. And the rest is history.

assuming the Gammons story is accurate (that it even occured, and b) if what he allegedly says is true) perhaps the Marlins forwarded what records they had on Josh from up to the end of the season, which were ok looking, and the Sox had him take a new MRI which showed new problems or no improvement since October...

Doubtful. They're not retarded.

If they uncovered new damage, they're throwing the thing out.

Assuming it was documented that there was injury issues, they simply offered what they felt he was worth, which, again, makes me really question Hanley's value.

chris young Of of White sox.

He is a solid player, would be useful in the OF.

Hmm I wonder what BA says about him now.

The Red Sox entered talks for Beckett before looking at his MRI. The Beckett/Lowell for Ramirez/Sanchez/Delgado was agreed to before the physical exams.

Maybe it was at this point that they were scared off, but the Marlins wouldn't let them take Hanley back, and so the Marlins, to make up for the bad tests, instead included Mota??? maybe?

That's actually what I read somewhere. I think that's what happened.

"Dontrelle with the pitch...a grounder to Ramirez...the throw to first...scooped up by Jacobs...and the Florida Marlins are the 2010 World Series Champions!!!"

LOL...Just trying to add a little hope where there virtually is none. I hope that I didn't ruffle any feathers.

:whistle

I want the Marlins 2 get the best propect possible pitcher or not because if we got great pitching propects and mediocore position propects we could trade some of the better pitching propects so y not trade :whistle

EXACTLY!

Chris Young is MLB ready too, from what I have read on a Sawx board I belong to. After that we would only need to find a LF(well, and a C and 2B), and we have the pitching prospects to do that.

I think a rotation of Willis, McCarthy, Olsen, Johnson, and Vargas could more than hold their own.
