Cowboys | Report - Owens agrees to three-year deal with Dallas

Thu, 16 Mar 2006 20:55:47 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, free agent WR Terrell Owens' (Eagles) agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has denied a report from KLBK-13 CBS TV in Lubbock, Texas, that Owens has agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys. While Rosenhaus is denying the report, a source close to Owens has confirmed to FOXSports.com that Owens has agreed to a three-year deal and it will not be announced until the coming days.

I'm not sold that this deal has actually happened yet. It probably will soon, and would be a decent pickup for the Cowboys, but pretty much everyone outside of these guys have denied the initial report from Lubbock.

Among others, Rotoworld has a take on it.

KLBK-13, the CBS affiliate in Lubbock, reports that Terrell Owens will be introduced as a member of the Cowboys Monday.

The report's headline says Owens will sign, while the contents of the article claim he already has. That doesn't help credibility. No other national or Dallas news source is backing up the story. Profootballtalk.com quotes a league source that the story is "bogus." Mar. 16 - 10:15 pm et

I don't think its as done a deal as some people are making it out to be. Considering that there are so many other teams that are closer to being Super Bowl ready than Dallas is (and the fact that having Bledsoe as the QB isn't going to help), I think that TO is going to look at a few more options before picking his team. I just don't see this as done just yet.

Cowboys | Sources say Owens, team have reached agreement

Fri, 17 Mar 2006 21:14:57 -0800

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement in principle with free agent WR Terrell Owens (Eagles), according to two sources late Friday, March 17. The sources said a formal announcement is expected within the next few days.

This should be interesting. Gonna stay in the NFC East though. That'll be fun.

There will be a whole lotta hype for the inevitable Philly-Dallas Sunday Night matchup.

I wonder if they'll have that first game in Philly or Dallas...should be Philly if they want to go all out.

I'm worried the Eagles D is going to try to break TO when they play.
