Great win tonight for the Marlins.

Bullpen didn't screw the starter and Olsen gets his second MLB win and his first of the season. 6.2 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 K, 1.50 ERA. Nice outing for him.

Borowski getting Jimmy Rollins out seemed like a HUGE relief. He'd gone 3-0 to him & you could just imagine the entire website ready to scream... nice to see Joe step up, hopefully he'll get a few saves here & settle down the bullpen a little.

My player of the game is Scott Olsen.

Props to Matt Treanor as well, who was great behind the plate, threw out 2 baserunners, & had a big RBI.

Really good outing. I'm going to agree here.

Nice to see both Reggie and Matt come through in the clutch with back to back 2 out rbi's and great outing By Scotty.

i was like this when rollins came up: :nailbite ...we woulda been in trouble if rollins would of gotten on.

Treanor did good 2 though :hat

he made some great throws, to nail those two runners. he even got a hit. :thumbup .

one thing i couldn't stand was reed coming in to pinch-run and getting picked off that's the last thing a pinchrunner should do. :thumbdown

Olsen, an electric K pitcher...showed he could get it done tonight without striking out 7 or 8...also in an extreme hitters park where he didn't do so well last season...very encouraging.

He really did well getting out of a few jams and still managed to keep his pitch count down to get into the 7th inning. Quite impressive. Love what I see from him. Now all we need is Vargas to get back on track.

That was sweet.

Who else but the Phillies to give these young guys the confidence they need to win a close game!

SO.

Scott Olsen

Strike Out

coincidence?

I THINK NOT

he only had one tonight... :o :mischief

I do think he'll be a strikeout pitcher, but the nick aint doin it for me right now.
