May 17, 200620 yr Numb to these yet? I'm really out of complaints. I can't complain about any of the Marlins players tonight, they pretty much played their asses off. I think the ump screwed us on a few big calls, namely a bases loaded 3-2 pitch that was a joke. Borowski lost it, but he pitched a great 9th... Girardi has a thing for using pitchers for 2 innings. I won't blame him this time. Borowski's pretty much been the best reliever & he had a pretty quick 9th. That leadoff walk just killed him, & then it all snowballed. If you can take any positives from these losses, the team is really showing it can play with anyone I think. They just need time to learn how to win. Oh, and a bullpen. However Dontrelle, Dan Uggla & Reggie Abercrombie had fantastic games.
May 17, 200620 yr Wasted good pitching... Wasted Good Defense... Wasted timely Hitting! D-Train should have had the win Abercrombie was incredible...Painful loss. These losses really kill the moral of a team
May 17, 200620 yr I'm speechless. There's really nothing I can say at this point. I can't take this anymore.
May 17, 200620 yr Dontrelle pitched a great game. As usual our offense dies in the 4th. We needed to add on more runs. I still have hope. I believe someday things will get better. It hurts too much. Oh and I hope Hanley is okay. They said day-to-day but they said that about Hermida.
May 17, 200620 yr I know we don't need to care about win or loss this year, but our relief pitchers really all not belong to MLB..........I am crying :banghead :banghead :banghead
May 17, 200620 yr Yup, pretty numb at this point. When we scored in the 10th, I laughed, knowing what was going to happen in the bottom of the inning. The only time I had any hope was when I saw Dontrelle in for the complete game, and even that didn't work out. I'm just starting to get to a point now where I'm thinking "If Marlins management doesn't care, why should I?"
May 17, 200620 yr Author I hope we see Petit and Pinto soon, so Girardi can expand his use of the bullpen...
May 17, 200620 yr Yup, pretty numb at this point. When we scored in the 10th, I laughed, knowing what was going to happen in the bottom of the inning. Same here. When the Marlins scored the 3rd run I looked at my dad and said.. we can't do this. I guess I was right.
May 17, 200620 yr I hope Giradi stops for a moment and instead of the usual 'not good enough' he goes for some positive encouragement this time. They played well and its important the players stay positive.

They played well and its important the players stay positive. I hope so too.. It is kinda hard though. Its like things are going great and all of a sudden someone slaps you in the face.
May 17, 200620 yr This is why Joe Borowski cannot be taken seriously. HE IS GOOD FOR ONE INNING and one inning ONLY.
May 17, 200620 yr Statistically speaking, this won't be happening much longer. The wins will start to balance out. We're still a young team. You had to expect these heartbreakers. This team will only get better.

I knew what was coming...

May 17, 200620 yr In my opinion, this is the most hurtful loss to date this season. I guess most of the games we lose we know going into the final at bat that more than likely we are going to lose. This obviously wasn't the case not once, but twice tonight.
May 17, 200620 yr Author I hope Giradi stops for a moment and instead of the usual 'not good enough' he goes for some positive encouragement this time. They played well and its important the players stay positive. That's a good point Doakle. Especially in a game like tonight where there were no boneheaded rookie mistakes. They played a heck of a game. These kinds of losses can start to take their toll...
May 17, 200620 yr Quote for the day, What I am focused on is, turning the corner because we are building the team for the future, so where we are this season doesn?t really matter. It doesn?t really matter. We want to see guys compete so we can know whether they need to be here, we want them to be here and if they are the kind of people we want. That is what we are trying to find out. The record doesn?t really matter, the result doesn?t matter and the score in the game doesn?t really matter. Does that make sense to anybody besides me?" May 17, 200620 yr Well we're at 11-26, 15 games below .500, 12-13(depending if NYM win) games behind in the NL East. We are currently the worst team in the NL. We need help. :prayer I shall pray for help.

May 17, 200620 yr The Marlins just have to forget about tonight and play hard tomorrow. We just need to add on runs. We haven't done that. Oh and hopefully they go to church .
May 17, 200620 yr it just hurts so much sometimes. I went into this season expecting a bad team. But what really hurts is that at times, we show signs of brilliance, just to have Herges or Blowroski blow it in the late innings.
