I believe my first machine was a Tandy system, with specs of : 33 Mhz, 100 MB HD, 4 MB of RAM.

Flash forward to today: 1.2 GHz Athlon (OC'd to 1.337 Ghz ^__^ ) , 160 GB HD, 80 GB HD, and 40 GB HD, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9700.

Commodore 64......to a Inspiron 1100 laptop.

My first computer was a Packard Bell, a little over 10 year. The specs were:

Intel 486 DX (About 75 Mhz)

4 MB of RAM

120 MB Hard Drive

1.44 MB Floppy

No CD-ROM Drive

No Sound Card

Today my Computer (home built) looks like this:

AMD Athlon X2 4200+ @ 2.22 GHZ

1 GB Ram

160 GB Hard Drive

1.44 MB Floppy (i'm old school)

52x CD-RW/DVD Drive

ATI x1900XT w/512 MB VRAM

Sound Blaster Audigy LS

My first computer was a TI-99 which I used with my small black-and-white TV to learn how to read, do math, and write from age 2 to 6 or 7. Then we got a homemade PC with DOS....then it was upgraded to Windows 3.0, then finally to Windows 3.1 for Workgroups...the good old days....NOT!

I currently have a Dell Dimension 4600C.

What is it with my computers and Texas?

i think it was a 386 all i remember was that it had marble madness, because thats really all it was good for.

right now:

Pentium 4 1.8

64mb Geforce2 MX400 (definitely need an upgrade, its killing me)

256mb RDRAM ( I love having an obsolete and expensive ram type of which i need more)

Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2.1 speaker system

80 gig hard drive

CD-ROM and CD-RW drives

writing it out just makes me realize even more why i need to upgrade.

Packard Bell

486/SX 4mb ram

60 mb HD

2x CD-ROM

1.44 Floppy

Sound Card

Now I have a

Gateway Tablet PC M275

Intel Pentium M

1.4 GHZ

1.25 GB of RAM

40 GB HD

DVD Player

32x CD/RW

Needless to say computers now-a-days are much better.

we had an old Apple family computer for a while... but my first computer was a Sony Vaio desktop in... 97 i believe. had windows 95 and a 4 gig HD, 128 RAM i think.

now i got an Apple iBook. 40 gig HD, 512 RAM.

OMG! An Apple IIc and I thought we were hot stuff because we had 2, count 'em- 2 floppy drives.

Now, I use them as coasters.

My first computer was a 486, which we later upgraded to a Pentium. It had some early version of Windows on it at first, and then later Windows 95.

Now, i have a 2.5GHZ Pentium 4, with a DVD-RW and a pretty nice graphics card. Sadly, this computer is far from top of the line anymore. It's still pretty nice, although few of the newer games work on it now. It also has a newer 17'' Samsung LCD, which just replaced the broken 17'' Sony LCD that burnt out on me in November. My computer itself will be 4 years old this fall.

My first computer was an Acer Aspire, Pentium 1 166 Mhz, 16 MB of Ram and a 2 gig hard drive.

Right now I have a custom built, AthlonXP 2200, 786 MB of Ram, 250 gig HD and a GeForce 6600GT.

Time for the "old-timer" to show his age.

My first "computer" was the Commodore Vic-20.

We're talking in the days before floppy-drives, baby! That only lasted one year for me, though, just couldn't do text games without graphics back then.

I then "advanced" to the Commodore 64.

That computer, besides rudimentary word processing skills, had some "wicked" games (such as Beachhead, Super Sunday, Rambo, Bird vs. Dr. J, "Leaderboard Golf," Sporttime Hockey and Sporttime Major Indoor Soccer League). That reliable machine survived junior high, high school and one year of college for me (1985-1990).

In college I got an Apple Macintosh SE.

Back in those days (the early 90s), my college campus had more Macs than PCs, so it made sense to own a Mac. Our computer lab consisted only of Macs, as did our publishing "shop," and in my opinion, in those days Macs were superior publishing and word processing tools. My Mac survived all of college and all of law school, and then went on to Grad School with my sister for two years until it finally died. Plus, since I was a smartass back then, I took the little "Mr. Potato Head" arms and hands from a set I had and glued them to the side of my Mac so that it sort of looked like the old "Banana Junior" computer that Oliver Wendell Jones had in "Bloom County" (except that mine had arms instead of legs and feet like the "Banana Junior" -- now have I really dated myself?!?!?!).

Fast forward to today and I currently have at home a Dell Dimension E310

With the following specs:

Intel? Pentium? 4 Processor 531 (3GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache) with HT Technology

512MB - 2GB (dual channel) shared1 DDR2 SDRAM at 400MHz

16x CD/DVD DVD+/-RW3 with double layer write capability

19" E193FP Analog Flat Panel Display

I had an Acer Aspire that my mom bought me in '98.

I now I have a Dell Dimension B110 Series, Intel Celeron D Processor 325 (2.53GHz) and 256K cache, which I LOVE!

I also have an IBM laptop. It's maybe like 3 or 4 years old, but it's still in pretty good shape.

my first computer was also a Acer that I got back in 96' dont remember the specs of course

but the computer i have now i built myself as a christmas present for gaming and video editing.
