June 10, 200620 yr woooooo!!! He's been on fire of late. He likes the #3 spot... I was waiting for someone to post this
June 10, 200620 yr Awesome, now he just needs new hairstyle and he's good to go. No, I love his hair. 3 step process :mischief .
June 10, 200620 yr he is doing good in the 3 hole but miggy horrible in the 4 Well while Miggy went 0-11 against the Giants in SF, his previous 9 games, all batting cleanup, he hit 17-35. No struggles there. Plus lets not forget we won the World Series with him hitting cleanup.

However, our lineup could use a little rearranging....although Uggla has been perfect in the #2 hole.

I am curious how much it has helped uggla in the 2 hole because miggy was behind him if it will change some with jacobs there instead
June 10, 200620 yr The major stat that helps justify Uggla in the two spot is his lower strikeout rate, which is much lower than any of the other regulars on the team. Its always good to have someone making consistent contact at two, even if its nice also to have a lefty in there. I think the lineup is fine with Miggy at 4, its just that ultimately if Hermida hits his potential he'll be the ideal guy at 3. Jacobs and Willingham then become the 5/6 hitters, giving us a nice run of right/left/right/left/right from 2-6.
June 10, 200620 yr I still think Cabrera should hit 3rd and Jacobs to hit 4th. That way Cabrera will have a hitter protecting behind him to prevent him from IBB.

June 11, 200620 yr I like Jake batting 3rd. Hanley Uggla Jake Miggy Hammer Hermida Works for me! Jake is showing his pedigree, he is a run producer. Even when he was struggling at the plate he was doing the little things well. It is very nice to see him with his confidence back. I believe he will hit 30 homers and get 85-90 RBI

I believe he will hit 30 homers and get 85-90 RBI Jake's problem was he was too worried hitting HRs each AB. I am almost positive that for the 1st 2 weeks of the season, he swung at the first pitch every AB. Now he's showing some discipline, and isn't always swinging for the fences
June 11, 200620 yr I really like Jacobs attitude and mental toughness...he was in a big hole but he kept on fighting and working hard and now we are seeing the fruit of his efforts
June 11, 200620 yr I really like Jacobs attitude and mental toughness...he was in a big hole but he kept on fighting and working hard and now we are seeing the fruit of his efforts 4-4 last night, and a GW RBI tonight... can't ask for much more out of a guy. We all knew this is what he was capable of. I think working on his swing also contributed to his success. Props to those who helped him out.
June 11, 200620 yr Welcome to the Marlins, Mike Jacobs. (that must have been some other guy in his uniform the past 2 months.)
