Ladies Night

Featured Replies

After watching clips from Ladies Night on Marlins on Deck I really want to go. So I have a few questions for those who know about Ladies Night.

Ladies Night is at 6pm and open to the first 100 ladies so what time should I get there so I will make the first 100 ladies? I dont want to be lady 101 kwim?

Has anyone been to Ladies Night? Was it worth it?

Thanks.

I went once. It's fun. Sometimes they'll have a player come out and talk to us. You can ask questions. We had Chris Aguila and even Dan LeBatard came out to talk to us.

I've gone many times. No, they don't turn away the 101st lady. That number is a way to keep the population controlled.

Players come out and talk and sometimes the press is there.

"hold on...someone's calling...hello...oooohhhhh...its a LADY!!!"

Good job on the Tim Meadows SNL "Ladies Man" reference. I loved that skit.

i was really saving it until most appropriate and wham...holly makes a thread called ladies night, i couldnt resist :shifty :whistle

OK, am I the only one who was disturbed by the M.o.D. coverage of "Ladies Night?" The concept seems nice, but the footage I saw squelched any desire I may have had to take part. A room full of female "Marlins fans," and not ONE question or comment that had anything to do with baseball. At least not that they aired. Did they just edit out anything remotely intelligent?

Who's the hottest Marlin? ("Oh tee-hee, they're all just so adorable").

What's it like to be married to a Marlin?

BOXERS or BRIEFS?!?! (Willingham's wife should drop-kick somebody)

Come on, ladies, let's not add to the belief that women can't be real sports fans. Can we start a "Ladies (Who Love the Marlins for Reasons that Have Nothing to do with Dan Uggla's 'hotness') Night?" Let's leave our push-up bras at home, button those top three buttons of our Marlins Jerseys, untie those T-shirts and watch some baseball. Sheesh.

You are kidding right?

When you said ..."A room full of female "Marlins fans," and not ONE question or comment that had anything to do with baseball" What are those women going to ask? "How do you like playing LF?" etc: Women like to ask "off the field" questions because they want to know what they are like off the field. Men could careless about that stuff but women are interested in it. I dont think those women asked very personal questions... just simmer down. So men can drool over the Fish Fingers (Mermaids) and we cant even think the players are cute? .

When I went, they were asking Aguila questions about his background (he's Polynesian), along with some baseball related questions as well.

So far this year, the first 100 females get a free Marlins T shirt. They are pretty nice - my wife got a Vargas (pink) in May and a Willingham (yellow) in June. The players name & number is across the back.

Men can attend, but can't get a shirt (wouldn't want one - it says "Ladies Night" below the Marlins logo on the front).

Also, there's a free raffle (one winner gets to toss the first pitch).

At what time did your wife get there?

I've been trying to win that prize for two years.

i've been to a few of them w/ my mom....they ask some questions --i remember CJ's wife used to host it---the guests i remember them having were cliff floyd, spooney, AJ, etc. i'm gonna try to go --haven't been in a while. it's fun ...kool to hear a bit about the players personal lives and they'll sign autographs for a sec on the way to the elevator

Sorry to bump this thread but since Ladies Night is giving away Uggla shirts does it mean Uggla is going to talk? I remember they gave away Hammer shirts and Hammer was there... Anyone know?

Thanks.
