Many of you that have been around for a while may remember the 'Best Of' threads on different areas of music back in the day. While I'm not discounting that series coming back, here's your chance to help decide the different side of the debate: Most Overrated. This is the sixth thread in the series, most overrated team.

 

In this thread, nominate three choices for most overrated teams of all time. This can be for any sport at any point, including baseball. Any person nominating more than three will only have their first three selected. Furthermore, it's pointless to nominate someone who has already been named earlier - they don't get points for being brought up more than once (yet).

The Trojan one shocks me. They were pretty damn near 100 % dominant with some unreal/unseen talent on that team. Can't see how they were overrated??

 

I think this years Gator team is overrated, they have been extremely lucky. I keep betting against them and winning. I'm a Gator too.

underdogs against the giants beat them in the most thrilling fashion ive ever seen

down 3-1 agaist cubs we won game 5 then went back to their house and beat prior and wood back to back (which was impossible)

then we beat the most storied franchise in sports history the yanks in convincing fashion

I guess i can see where hes coming from with USC.. some will say they never won a true NC (Shared with LSU, undefeated Auburn team, then beat by Texas).. but I disagree, they had some amazing talent. That team they had in 02-03 might have even been their best.

If they are considered one of the greatest teams of all time when, for whatever reason, someone thinks they aren't.

 

IMO a good example would be the 2001 Patriots.

I said USC mostly out of spite as a UM fan - the Canes did the same exact thing save the national title split (because they weren't allowed into the title game despite having beaten one of the teams in it) and didn't get as much love. And oh, btw, the UM teams were much better.
