May 16, 200719 yr The GM signs the players but the managers plays them Hey it's the manager's neck on the line not the GM
May 16, 200719 yr Wow.. denial city. You dont think in any sports, the GM or Owner has any control over who plays? The people who are in charge of you/paying you dont have any say in what goes on? And when they make a bone-headed move but are too stubborn to admit defeat, you dont think hes hearing voices from above to ride it out to not make them look as bad and hopef or lightning in a bottle? Come on man
May 16, 200719 yr What makes you think Fredi makes these decisions? That's a 100% the manager's decision lolololol
May 16, 200719 yr Damn does Fredi get any respect whatsoever??? Wow.. denial city. You dont think in any sports, the GM or Owner has any control over who plays? Come on man Well I guess I believe in the purity of baseball :shifty
May 17, 200719 yr I think it's stupid to start BK. He should be a long-reliever and basically be used just as julio was. I've heard a lot of bad things about him from rockie fans.
May 17, 200719 yr First start is against TB right? Well FWIW, these are BKs stats vs. the AL last year: @ Seattle: 4.1 IP, 7 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 5 K vs. Texas: 7 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K vs. Oakland: 6 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 K The year before: vs. KC: 6.2 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K @ Balt: 3.1 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 1 K vs. Det: 6 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 8 K vs. CWS: 6 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K I just threw back some kool aid.. at least we got him going in to the interleague stretch. And looking at his game log last year, i mean its really not that bad. I wish him the best and hope he has a great stay with us.
May 17, 200719 yr I'm excited to see BK starting the game Friday cause I am going and I would sure rather see BK than Wes just because he is more interesting to watch. When it comes down to it, the proposition of having Wes in our rotation longterm is not very exciting whereas BK at least brings some more potential to the table.

May 17, 200719 yr You should know about this. BK has been wanted a starter since he came to Rox. He always told, irregular rolls in bullpen is tough. But, BK had a some problem with Rox manger & GM during 2007 camp (it might be a miscomunication about language.) so, he argued about trading to other teams, then he changed his agent to Scott Boras. I think Boras offered Marlins to guarantee BK's starter job. But Look at the BK's career pitching stats. I was a former good closer @ Dbacks, not a good starter @ Rox. Maybe BK will get a starter job in 3 or 4 games. (it's kinda "starter test".) If he will perform a good job, He joins rotation as a 4th or 5th starter. If he doesn't, He gonna bullpen as a closer or a reliever. That was all I heard about BK's present situation @ Korea media.
May 17, 200719 yr Neither brings much to the table. Oh well, lets hope we dont get one of those 6 or 7 run performances.
May 17, 200719 yr BK's Fish debut game will broadcast on cable in all over South Korea. It's a live satellite telecast. (also, citrus series #2 game will broadcast, because another Korean pitcher Jae Seo start that game.)

May 17, 200719 yr I wasnt serious. Sheesh people. I understand the joke you are going for, but that is like saying because Greg Maddux is on the mound I wonder if the Queen of England will be watching. Racially both the Americans and English share many traits but it is a different country and culture. sorta improper even though I am sure you arent going for it meant like that. Either way for BK I hope he does well raises his trade value so we can send him shipping out at the deadlien for a nice catcher prospect
May 18, 200719 yr It's Willis, Wes, Scotty, and Mitre, and Nolasco, who am I missing? Are you sure Wes is going to the Pen? Also, I have some faith in Kim, he isn't pitching at Homer Happy Coors Field. Now he gets to pitch in a pitcher's park, hopefully that does something. Besides, he wans't that bad of a starter for Boston back in 03. are u on drugs?...like Julio and also Charles Johnson for that matter if a guy bounces from club to club he usually SUCKS!! but I guess 03 he was ok so that means he will be here also, get real!!!! stop being nieve
May 19, 200719 yr I would say thats a pretty solid outing all things considering. Very nice job by Kim :thumbup
