Admin
1. In the RF area(to the right of the home bullpen) have a large Fish tank with strong reinforced glass that houses a full grown live blue marlin. The glass opening should face RF that way fans in the stands down both lines and home plate can see it. Make the seats on top of it retractable so the marlin can jump out of the water after a Marlins win and the fans have exited those particular seats(and that way its not bottled up in a giant cocoon when a game is not in play). 2. Have a 1965 AMC Rambler Marlin painted black and teal situated somewhere visible in the OF concourse(yet out of reach of fans) with a souped up engine that revs up extremely loud and shoots fireworks when a Fish hits a HR. 3. In the obligatory arcade room wherever its at in the park have old school The Blue Marlin(NES) set up in around 5 terminals. 4. Whenever a Fish pitcher records a strikeout, play a video on the jumbotron that says "This Marlins game is brought to you by the letter K" by a generic muppet in a Marlins hat in the vein of Sesame Street. 5. Have an outfield mini replica of Miami Stadium adorned with classic Miami Marlins logos where kids can learn baseball fundamentals and have batting simulations, a cage where you can see how fast you pitch, etc. All stadiums have these areas nowadays and its a nice homage to the past. Maybe also a case which features the history of baseball in Miami in this area. Anyone else have any quirky way out there ideas?
bobbob1313
I'd like to see something about the Miami Giants negro league team. I love the history theme thing.

That's a novel idea, but it would get real oldreal fast.

LaBolaSeLlevoLaCerca
Sorry I don't want our ballpark to resemble Minute Maid Park with all the hokey attractions.

You can't have a live marlin in a tank. Not to mention training one to jump out of the water whenever HR is hit. And have the seats retractable?? For the fans that would be sitting there I can only think of one thing to say..."That is going to leave a mark." BTW The AMC Marlin came out in '63-'66 with a little different body style in '67. All 2 door hardtops. The team used to have one painted teal with the top cut off, back seat replaced with a high-rise seat for Billy to sit on and a bubble machine. They used to drive it around the warning track between an inning late in the game. This was around the time (maybe a little before) it was the thing to do for the opposing bull pen to throw water on Billy as he passed by. Up until a couple years ago it was just parked under one of the exit ramps under the 100 level, gathering lots of dust. It's probably beer cans by now.
