November 1, 200719 yr I'll probably go because it will be a pretty lively atmosphere and I'll be needing some baseball around that time. It will be good to see Girardi back in the dugout as well. It'll be nice to see Cabrera come back and play against his former team as well. :mis2

November 1, 200719 yr Author That would be an interesting dynamic - Fredi and A-Rod in one dugout and Cabrera and Girardi, if they haven't killed each other yet, in the other. Ya gotta know Miggy goes all Manny in the Bronx and what's Joe going to do, not play him? lol The real question is who gets custody of Amezaga? :brigginbounce
November 1, 200719 yr Not questioning it, but I gotta ask where you got this info from. And do the ST vouchers I get from paying my season tickets in full get me into that game? Or do I get to sit in my regular seats? And are they going to issue sun glasses so the glare of all those lily white bodies turning bright red won't disturb us from the game? I can already see the signs on the turnpike when you near Joe Robbie. "Looking directly at the stadium as you drive by may cause severe eye injury." Is the rest of the ST schedule out? So many questions.
November 1, 200719 yr if i ever move to NY ill be damned if i convert to a Jets fan. it wont happen and if my kid comes home with any Jets merchandise i might change the locks on him/her or at least start the process before being talked out of it by the wife. My point EXACTLY. Your allegiance doesn't change because of geography. If all it takes for you to start rooting for a new team is living in a new city? You were never a very good fan to begin with. I hate your kids and your grandkids. :kiss
November 1, 200719 yr I was born and lived in NY for 35 years and am a Yankee fan since the age of 6,......I don't see how you give up a lifelong love of a team just because you move somewhere else....a real fan loves their team no matter where they are or you weren't a real fan to begin with IMO.....if you guys left Miami for say, LA, would you become Marlin haters and love the Dodgers? I think not, or a least I hope not...... That being said I root for the fish and want them to win, not to keep ballplayers for have a funky delivery or a rubber arm (BK KIM) ...I want them to WIN..... Real fans love their original teams and can ADOPT others like I the fish....I say I hope BOTH do well......

I hate your kids and your grandkids. :kiss you are fine, i have no problem with you being a yankees fan, obviously dont change your loyalty... maybe you can adopt the fish as your other team. your kids are another story. kids should be allowed to chose whoever they want to root for. parents can influence their decision, but thats it. you may be a new yorker, but your kids arent (at least thats what im assuming from what you said). in fact, they should choose the marlins... thats how its supposed to work. the kids/grandkids comment was what set me off.
November 1, 200719 yr Loria will be sitting behind the visitor's dugout yelling at the umpires. that was pretty funny!

November 2, 200719 yr The March 28 game will be at 7:10 p.m. ET, while the March 29 contest will start at 6:10 p.m. ET.
November 2, 200719 yr I was just told the Marlins will host two spring training games with the Yankees at Dolphin Stadium in March. Who's cares? Maybe the Yankees since we spanked in the WS in '03 but not us.
November 2, 200719 yr this be first time if i not mistaking that marlins play home game during spring trainng i think last their was spring trainng game at proplayer was back late 80s before marlins was born
November 2, 200719 yr Season Tix holders, these games are part of your package The dates and times are now at the Marlins web site for these two games. But according to that (if I am reading it correctly), season ticket holders have an option to purchase those two games. Dosen't say it is included. And if you paid your season tix in full and are getting the vouchers for ST games I kinda doubt they will count either. I think those vouchers are for Roger Dean only. Good news is that they are night games and we won't need the sunglasses to curb the body glare. And we get to "accidentally" brush up against Yankee fans that went out during the day to get a "little color." Could be fun. But don't quote me on any of this. We are placing a call to our sales rep today.

It would be hypocritical of me to say any different as I am still and always will be a Denver Broncos fan. I do make one or two Dolphins games a year as long as it dosen't interfere with watching my fav team. As long as you go to a few games a year I see no problems. If you aren't constantly making excuses of why you aren't going to the games then, to me, you are part of the solution while others here are the real problem. Take the bashing and laugh. I was told I was part of the Marlins problem because of my allegence to the Broncos. Still trying to figure that one out.
November 2, 200719 yr Season Tix holders, these games are part of your package We called and this isn't exactly true. Invoices will be sent out very soon so season ticket holders can reserve their seats for these two games at the season ticket value per game. Seems like the fair way to do it.
November 4, 200719 yr as soon as tix go on sale, I am there.....I believe having 44,000 in the stands is more important down here then who they are rooting for.....remember the Yanks drew the largest crowds here during the years when they would come here for interleague games....... BTW i do agree about the kids (who are born here) should be Marlins fans, let the parents stay fans of the other teams.....

November 5, 200719 yr I think that this should be like the Panthers Reunion Game. Tickets are free if you get them in advance for not that good seats, and if you want really good seats, or come on game day, you have to pay. At least for one of the game. Its Spring Training, so could happen. This is more of a money than of a fan event though
November 5, 200719 yr Nice way to make money and give douches who live in South Florida and root for the Yankees a chance to see their team. Home is where the heart is not vice versa. When I retire to stately YF Manor in South Florida, you better believe I'll still be a Yankee fan. And so will my kids. And my grandkids. :mischief Amen... We're talking more about home here I thought, Im curious how your home was Boston, New York and Indiana?

Since moving into Roger Dean the Yankees have only been here once or twice for ST games. Can't really blame them either. It's a long road rip for a potential rain out, even during our dry season. That can happen. A couple years ago a BoSox game was rained out at RDS. I was there. Partying with their fans for a couple hours in the concession area. Still had a good time, just no baseball.
