Andrew Miller...I'll blame it solely on him. I'm not about to blame Gregg for allowing a single. He's been worked a lot already, just like Pinto and Miller. The pen kept us in this game to begin with. I heard Hermida didn't catch a catchable ball (according to pierremvp1)...but really...the loss is on Miller. He needs to be sent down to develop. Plain and simple...he's not ready.

April 30, 200818 yr the two outs runs are annoying and its also annoying how we cant seem to get to 6 games over .500 but if we can hit like w did tonight and scotty and burke do what they are capable of we should be fine for the series. and waechter seems to have god control and good stuff.... i would like him to start over volstad.
April 30, 200818 yr This was mentioned on the 10th inning show....All 7 Dodger runs were scored with 2 outs....we just couldn't get that last out to end the inning....

Worked both ways. We just have to accept this loss, and be proud of the fact that unlike last year, this team seems to play with heart, at least. That's all you can ask for. We got our ace on the mound tomorrow...tomorrow should be a nice test for this team, imo.

April 30, 200818 yr What are Gregg's numbers when pitching in tied games or only a one run differential? Seems like he has been struggling more than I would like this season whenever I watch him pitch. That low ERA is deceiving.

Seems like he has been struggling more than I would like this season whenever I watch him pitch. That low ERA is deceiving. we're 6-3 in 1 run games, and Gregg is 3-1 now ... 4/5 in save opps. (should be 5/5, but Hanley made an error for him, which resulted in 2 unearned runs). Gregg has struggled sometimes (early on in the year) finding the strike zone, but he's been probably Top 10 so far this year, as far as closers go. ...heck in the Milwaukee series alone, he threw 2 shutout innings and got the win Friday, and got a 1 run save on Sunday. He's just not the "1, 2, 3 inning" type of closer.

April 30, 200818 yr Thoughts: A) Miller needs to go back to Double-AA. Send up Volstad! B) Shoulda kept Pinto in for the 9th. C) This team is so exciting to watch! Great game, too bad we couldn't get a couple more.

April 30, 200818 yr Really fun game. Those were some outstanding plays out there, was out there tonight and the crowd was electric. Great seats to boot!! Sucks that we couldn't pull out a Win, but Miller really has to be sent down.
