April 10, 200917 yr http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ti-p...o&type=lgns it's early in the season but whatever, this had some pretty funny comments. I lol'd at what they said about the mets " 7. New York Mets (2-1; Previous: 7) ? Mets players fascinated by this newfangled stat the eggheads at MLB have come up with called ?the save.? One pitcher actually passed out during explanation of ?the hold.?" they said this about the Marlins "15. Florida Marlins (3-0; Previous: 18) ? Fish rout Nats, can?t wait for big-league schedule to start."
April 10, 200917 yr This is going to make it seem like it bothers me a lot more than it actually bothers me cuz it does not really bother me that much cuz I really don't care much about the media. But it's so annoying where every single thing that's about the Athletics is OMG. YOUNG ROTATION. IT"S SO YOUNG. OMG. I mean yeah, Anderson and Cahill, omg. They have some great young starters, omg. They're starting rotation has an average age of 23.2 Our starting rotation, which has more potential (f*** we frontline two guys who Cahill and Anderson hope to become), has an average age of 24.4 Our peak starting rotation in 2006 was younger than their rotation at 22.6 I mean yeah, some things get said about our rotation. Some things were said about our rotation in '06. There is and was the occasional article about it. But nowhere close to the spotlight the Athletics attention is getting, which I assume is mostly from a jerkfest over Anderson and Cahill. Anytime the A's come up in the media, it's OMG YOUNGEST ROTATION EVER OMGOMG This is going to make it seem like it bothers me a lot more than it actually bothers me cuz it does not really bother me that much cuz I really don't care much about the media. And I'm bored and wanted an excuse to say: I did not know elves could be so hot, although it looks like airbrushing helps them.
April 10, 200917 yr I really don't care for these things espcially this early in the season but how are the freaking Indians above us.
April 10, 200917 yr Author I did not know elves could be so hot, although it looks like airbrushing helps them. I've got plenty more pictures of them. they aren't airbrushed. they are just two girls who went to some anime type convention and decided to dress like Link.
April 10, 200917 yr And yet when their darling mets lose to the nationals its "oh they are a major league team" or some other excuse.
April 10, 200917 yr The power rankings in FoxSports have us at 15 as well this is their quote "Maybin isn't a leadoff hitter. Hanley isn't a No. 3 hitter." I wonder if the guy who wrote this actually follows baseball, or maybe he just writes random sh*t. I mean that Hanley is not a No. 3 hitter I can understand because it's an opinion, but Maybin has not lead off for us all year and that was known before the season started, are sports writer not supposed to at least know teams lineups?

Hehehe. That's pretty funny. "Maybin isn't a leadoff hitter" is a knock on us. Teehee.
April 11, 200917 yr MLB Network tonight is practically masturbating over the Marlins right now, especially Reynolds.
April 11, 200917 yr MLB Network tonight is practically masturbating over the Marlins right now, especially Reynolds. Baseball tonight did pretty much the same. An entire feature on EB, and how he's the prime example of the speed + defense future of baseball. Maybe Beinfest was ahead of the curve after all (as usual)...........
April 11, 200917 yr Let them hate, rank us low, I love being the underdog, it just makes it all that much sweeter.
April 12, 200917 yr The first month of the season means very little, which means first week trends can go to hell in my opinion.
April 12, 200917 yr The first month of the season means very little, which means first week trends can go to hell in my opinion. The first 5 games count the same as the last 5. Nice win tonight, btw.
April 12, 200917 yr The first month of the season means very little, which means first week trends can go to hell in my opinion. In power rankings... maybe... but every game is just as important as the next. Look at the Florida Panthers... tied 93 points with Montreal and lost the tiebreaker for the playoffs. Their first month was not good. Same applies to the Marlins.
April 12, 200917 yr I would be extremely embarrassed to be this guy for . . . 1.) Thinking PR's are relevant 4 games into the season 2.) For thinking he actually knows baseball (I wont say ours is completely wrong, but the Phillies 4th after that series and then Braves 13th?! I would call him retarded but that might actually be complimenting him)
