I have to admit, winning 11 of the first 12 was an amazing experience and it actually got me kind of spoiled. Now when we lose, I really don't know how to take it. But we have to be realistic here and realize we can't win em all. 162 game season, so you have to expect losses and some adversity. I just hope these guys respond well and can salvage the last game of the series. We're still 11-3 and in first place !!!

You learn from wins and you learn from losses. Heck, we had a long winning streak, which is nice (didn't we not have one of more than a few games until late last year?). I had these wild dreams where we absolutely run away with the division early and people can't help but notice us. But tis only a dream.

I still have confidence in the team. I'd rather lose early in the season than lose late. Of course, I'd rather win all the time.

Like I've said in like 9 other threads and I will just keep repeating:

The 1997 World Champion Marlins went 8-1. They then went 2-8. This kind of thing happens and almost always will happen. This is baseball.

The sky isn't falling.

If we lose 4 more games in a row - then I will start to worry. We are just are having some technical difficulties.

Honestly, if we get beat by Paul Maholm of the .57 ERA and then swept by the Phillies, that still isn't even close to the end of the world. Sure, it won't be much fun. But we'd still be 11-7 with a decent chance of being in first place. 11-7 still puts you on pace to win 99 games :thumbup

After that 8-1, the 97 team had a 3 game losing streak and a 5 game losing streak in 10 games. We did play like sh*t in those games too.

I want to win every game :) . They need to spoil me.

Just think were probably gonna lose 50 more. I'm not to worried our hitters will come around and anibal has looked good which could really help our staff. But man it was nice winning every night.

I love these losses, because after the team gained confidence from the hot start, now they can take these bumps in the road in stride. The squad will learn a ton of things that will be important as they get through this season and hopefully beyond.

If they lose 60 more, they'd be an unbelievable team and by far the best the Marlins have ever fielded in a regular season.

Offense went flat the last few games, but good to see Maybin hit one out... Just need to ignite the O again...as long as starting piitching holds up and the bats heat up again, this team will be back to its winning ways...

I know but I figured 50 was an easier number to take than 70 or something. 100 and 62 here we come LOL.

team as always struggled in PIT and will struggle throughout the year.. we'll bounce back! thats baseball

Marlins record when I was in the US: 11-1

Marlins record now I am back home in UK: 0-2

So it's my fault. Perhaps the Marlins should sponsor me a visa and give me a job?

let me remind everyone that we have a bad record in Pnc park. Its always harder to win on the road, and we got mixed up in a team that just started to get good. So Im not worried, were going to be out of pnc park soon, but lets win this one today.

So we managed to beat Johan Santana, Derek Lowe (I know he didnt actually get the loss) and Javier Vasquez in consecutive games and then we lose to Ross Ohlendorf and Jeff Karstens in consecutive games.

How does that work?

The team ain't hitting. Does anyone think that will be this teams weakness in the long run? No. As long as the pitching stays consistent and Lindstrom doesn't turn into Kevin Gregg we will be alright.

Simply,

That's Baseball.

True and I guess the unpredictability is why we all love the sport and watch it every day.
