May 24, 200917 yr He wasn't pinch hitting though. He started. I'm so glad we got the win (thanks to me starting the thread ) but only 5 runs off 17 hits? That can't continue.
May 24, 200917 yr Just as we won, we just as easily could have lost, but I will take it! I hope we can get something going, but we face Jamie "Marlin Killer" Moyer tomorrow...sh*t!
May 24, 200917 yr Just me or do our guys not seem that excited with the walk off win? Also Bake's line this month is funny April: 69 PAs, .278/.391/.407/.798 May: 69 PAs, .259/.317/.534/.852 with almost half as many walks (5 vs 9) and that was before todays game. Have to wonder if it has to do with hitting #5 but power numbers are cool. Now only if he could combine the walking of the first month with the hrs of the second month.
May 24, 200917 yr Oh sweet victory, thank God we salvaged something. Although we could've just as easily lost. Hopefully Volstad can be better than Moyer tomorrow and we can get some momentum going.
May 24, 200917 yr Bake is just a cool guy like that... Anyway, if there ever was a time to get streaky, right now would be it. Face the Phillies in Philly, and I would sure love a few wins to cut their lead in the division down a little bit.
May 24, 200917 yr Just me or do our guys not seem that excited with the walk off win? I noticed the same thing.
May 24, 200917 yr hopefully this was more signs that the bats are coming to life. 3 hits for Coghlan, 3 for Hermida, 3 for Baker, 3 for Gload - who I think should get a couple starts in a row.
May 24, 200917 yr they got crazy when we had our first walk off. After losing this many in a row and the moral being so low, guess its hard to go crazy after a walk off today.
May 24, 200917 yr Just me or do our guys not seem that excited with the walk off win? I noticed the same thing. I am really excited inside but since we havent won in a long time I dont know how to express it.
May 24, 200917 yr Boner has to be taken out of the lineup. Move Coghlan to 3B, Hermida back over to LF and give Gload an extended run in RF. He seems to be delivering the goods with the bat of late and contributes more to the team in limited opportunities than Boner does playing everyday.
May 24, 200917 yr What worries me is 17 hits and only 5 runs out of it. I know I wasn't able to watch the whole game, but cripes...
May 24, 200917 yr Yeah i wasnt that excited over the win. Id be much happier if we won tomorrow and the next day espcially considering we face the marlins killer moyer tomorrow. Still we won though and its nice. Boni has got to be taken outta the line up though. Coghlan looks real uncomfortable in LF and his bat is heating up. Maybe he could do the leading off?
May 24, 200917 yr Author If we're willing to put Coghlan in left in order to get his bat into the lineup, why don't we do the same with Gload, who has experience in the outfield, send Coghlan back down, and call Maybin back up to learn major league pitching and play his natural position? Or, of course we could always just play Gload at 3B and bench Bonifacio but we all know that's never going to happen.
May 24, 200917 yr I think Nny meant our players not being overly excited with the walk-off win. LOL, blonde moment.

Keep cody on center and hermi in left with gloads bat in right. I still think maybin needs time in the minors. Boner needs to be outta the line up, that much is clear.
May 24, 200917 yr Author Benching Bonifacio is not an option. Of course not. Because he's been so awesome, right?
