If there's someone playing tonight that I should post about, just let me know. Like I said, I'm 100% for suggestions.
June 26, 200917 yr Good to see that Stanton seems to be getting adjusted. He's gonna be in the futures game according to waltz.

June 26, 200917 yr Miami fan need to fix Gaby is 1 for 5 and he play 3B for 7 and 1B for 3 Maybin played and is o for 1
June 26, 200917 yr Good job, I would suggest making sure all games are finished and to include the short season teams too! Looking forward to these daily updates
June 26, 200917 yr Author I've updated all the stats for tonight's game. Sorry about that, but the games weren't over when I originally posted and I got distracted. Anyway, thanks for reading. Also, about the short season suggestion: I don't really know anyone on the Jammers worth posting about, unless you all would like to read about Manzanillo. But, whatever. Like I said, I'll post stats for whoever the hell you all want as long as you read.
June 26, 200917 yr I think these guys should be accounted for at absolute minimum. Basically our top hitters and starting pitchers at each level. AAA - Maybin, Sanchez, Raynor, J. Miller, Hayes, Vanden Hurk, Trahern AA - Stanton, Morrison, Cousins, Petersen, Winters, Thompson, Taylor A+ - Dominguez, Sanabia, Villanueva, Allison A - Skipworth, Galloway, Smolinski, Kaminska, Hand

I really wasn't sure who to cover other than the obvious ones and a few more so this gives me some direction. I'll start with that entire list tomorrow.

June 27, 200917 yr I'm starting to wonder about skipworth and when he'll get it together. Good to see logan did alright with a hit and 2 walks.
June 27, 200917 yr Author I'm starting to wonder about skipworth and when he'll get it together. Good to see logan did alright with a hit and 2 walks. Yeah, he's really been a disappointment. I think there was a thread in the main Marlins form about how he's been a 'bust.' Sucks to see, but hopefully he improves. His numbers really aren't good, especially at the low-A level.
June 27, 200917 yr Just a heads up, when Lou said Petersen, he meant Bryan Petersen, the OFer. His playing time has gotten cut since Stanton was called up but he's still an interesting prospect.
June 27, 200917 yr Author Kyle Skipworth, not Mike. Ah jeez, that's pretty bad. Not sure why the hell I put Mike. Who the hell is Mike Skipworth? Who the hell is Mel Kiper? Lol, I'll fix it.

June 28, 200917 yr Does this mean Sinkbeil has been converted into a full-time reliever? Yes, he was converted about a month ago. 13 G, 14.7 IP, 16 H, 1 HR, 6 R, 5 ER, 8 BB, 11 K 3.06 ERA but also has a 1.63 WHIP, 4.9 BB/9, and 1.38 K/BB. Not too hot. Still great GB numbers but he needs to get his control under control. Also, -Miami Fan-, the Marlins have 3 other minor league teams playing. Jamestown (Low/Short Season A ball), GCL Marlins (Rookie), and DSL Marlins (Dominican Summer League) For Jameston, the guys I'm looking at are Kyle Jensen (OFer 12 round pick this draft but could have been a lot higher) Chase Austin (IFer 5th round pick this last draft) Jose Miguel Torres (SS we signed out of Venezuela a couple years back [fun fact: one of the reasons he signed with us is he wanted to play next to another Venezuelan, Jose Miguel Torres Cabrera]) Jose Ceballos (All glove catcher we signed a couple years back) Sequoyah Stonecipher (how can you not follow somebody with that name) Daniel Mahoney (Pitcher drafted 4th round this past draft) However those guys aren't really that good of prospects, they're at the very back in of our top 50 at best. The guys you'd really want to focus on are: Blake Brewer (SP) Curtis Petersen (SP) Just listing some more interesting names for you and others if you do look at the box scores. I wouldn't bother do a write up on those outside of Brewer/Petersen. For the GCL team Edgar Olmos (SP) Joshua Hodges (SP) and maybe Marquise Cooper (OF, 3rd round pick this past year) I don't know sh*t nobody on the DSL team so I can't help you there, considering we're talking about 16 year olds probably not worth keeping track anyway.

Ok, wow, well that's great and thanks for the help. I will add Jamestown to the thread and include the two SP that you mentioned. I can cover the rookie league as well, as long as everyone is interested in it. Now, here's a question I have. Where the hell is Jose Ceda? I would really like to know how he's doing this season, but I have no clue where he's at...can anyone help me there?
June 28, 200917 yr " Remember the Kevin Gregg trade, the one in which the Marlins dumped salary by dealing the closer to the Chicago Cubs for 280-lb. reliever Jose Ceda? Turns out that one isn't working out so hot for the Fish. While Gregg is closing for the Cubs, Ceda is on the mend from shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum. The idea was for Ceda to start the season at Double A Jacksonville and, if all went well, receive a mid- or late-season promotion to supply bullpen help. Well, that's not happening now. Ceda never threw a pitch in the minors before going under the knife. For that matter, the Marlins shut him down one or two days into spring training. So that makes two relievers obtained by the Marlins over the winter -- with Scott Proctor being the other -- who have provided zero return and a couple of surgery bills." -fish bytes
