June 28, 200917 yr Not sure I agree with the strategy of loading the bases. While it's true it would give you an out at every base and set up the DP, now you're facing Crawford. I'd much rather have Willy Aybar up at the dish than Crawford if I'm the Marlins. Of course, you could walk Aybar to get to B.J. Upton. That way you've got runners on 1st and 3rd and you still have the DP potential. That's the direction I would've gone, especially when you've got 3 balls on Aybar. Give Aybar a free pass at that point and pitch to Boss Man.
June 28, 200917 yr Can't win games when you only score 2 runs against a good offensive team like the Rays, can't ask much more from you starters, quality starts back to back, yet two loses.
June 28, 200917 yr The losses suck, but it's not the end of the world. Just over 2 weeks ago we were 8 games back in the division. We should feel fortunate we're only 2 games out right now. Hopefully we bounce back tomorrow, and even if the Phils don't lose we're still in solid shape.

June 28, 200917 yr You guys need to stop overreacting, and look at the bigger picture. Looking at canada marlin's post, you'd think we're the Washington Nationals. Look at the bright side...the last 7 games...7 quality starts. Our starting pitching is giving us a chance to win every day. Not too many teams have that right now. The Phillies (despite blowing out the Jays today) seem to have a lot of problems right now. Same with the Mets. We're 2 games back. A lot better than a couple weeks ago, with a lot of baseball left to play. Lets just hope Andrew continues his improvement tomorrow...that's most important.

June 28, 200917 yr I knew the Rays wouldn't be our bitch forever but I didn't think it would end so abruptly. We were like 50 and 10 against them, then the last 2 seasons its like 2-10. I guess the Nats are our bitch now and we're not allowed to have 2 bitches.
June 28, 200917 yr Strange how we had to listen to the Rays announcers for 5 games with no choice. Now, today, my listings is showing the game being on FS-FL with Marlins Live before it and on SunSports with Rays Live before it. What's up with that?
June 28, 200917 yr Look at the positives - our next 6 games are at home to the Nationals and the Pirates. We should win 4 or 5 of those games.
