Difficult to win, when you don't get the 2 things, as I mentioned. Anyways, hasn't the team won like 9 of 13 now or something? It's more a case of the teams in front of us playing very well than the Marlins playing like sh*t. Still sucks at the end of the day, I guess.

August 21, 200916 yr Lot of negative comments on the game thread. All and all I'm very pleased with the Marlins this year, no matter what the outcome might be. Marlins has been a lauch pad for a lot of stars in past years, and it's nothing but encouraging to see what's been done with these kids, and still can do. We still can win this thing, weather we can or not remains to be seen. The hope is there.

I mean Martinez pitches a few good innings and you want him in the rotation. Well guess what, he isn't a starter at the major league level! Hell, he really isn't a reliever at the major league level. He's only here because of injuries, there is a ZERO percent chance Martinez does anything other than relieve pitchers (not dirty ), and soon he will be in the minors. Ya'll are f*cking crazy with how short term memory you are. I mean West is the best #5 starter we got. I don't want you all going "OMG anybody who pitches a few innings in relief can do that starting!!!" Because they aren't even close to the same. West is a good pitcher, he is just suffering rookie jitters. He will stay in the 5 spot, he will continue to be a high 4 ERA pitcher the rest of this season, and ya'll will have to live with that because nobody else you can name in our bullpen is going to put up what West is currently. I mean come on, it is beyond laughable to want a guy in the rotation after he has been back in the majors for a whole 3 days! It's crazy, insane, it's Ryan Secrest crazy! I mean at some point conventional wisdom has to kick in, right?
