I believe Miller is supposed to start for us. RHP Clay Hensley; RHP Seth McClung, RHP Mike MacDougal are also supposed to pitch for us.

Well, things might have gone better without the errors. Andrew Miller mentally reminds me a lot of Brad Penny. If something goes bad...they lose it.

Nothing worth noting from what I saw.

 

Hensley on the other hand, has been pretty good.

Miller looked a lot better, when he misses he misses up and away to the left on rh batters. His curveball looked very sharp and when he was up in the zone he got hit. Overall, is was a good performance and made a stride towards getting into the rotation rather then going away from it. He did respond poorly to the error which is something that will come with maturing, lets not push it with him, him getting through 3 inn. right now is HUGE (sad)

 

Hensley, not overpowering and/or not very big on the mound but he makes outs, as well as making quick outs which is always good for your offense mentally.

He threw a nice sinker to get a groundball out back to the pitcher on Brian McCann, which I liked. He seems to have a nice breaking ball so if he can spot his fastball and use that sinker... I think he could work out. I'd like to see more of him.

Hasn't been mentioned but MacDougal looked good, too. And McClung looked great in his inning.

Nolasco downside is the HR's he gives, even though he cut them by five last year.
