well considering hudson usually has great control and there were 2 outs (hudson probably thought he could get away with hitting hanley), it may very well have been intentional. The ball hit hanely above his elbow

The fact that Hudson, a career 52.5 zone percentage guy and a career 60 first pitch strike percentage guy, hit Hanley with a first pitch fastball. They also did it to Maybin last night to get to the pitcher.
