Another uninspiring game to say the least. one of thos games where you could call what bad thing would happen next.

Roberston sucked ass....offense was a joke.

hanley has been absolutely terrible in key situations and is batting under .290.

i dont know what we do now but im am dying to get maybin out of the lineup.

Simple. Call up Stanton.

All this waiting for Mike Stanton reminds me of dragon ball z with everybody waiting for Goku to come and kick Frieza's ass. lol.

We should also call up Osvaldo Martinez, move Hanley to third and trade Cantu for pitching. All our problems solved.

The team is just flat. I understand that Fredi doesn't want Stanton, a 20 year old rookie, to feel like he's our salvation, but... I'm sorry, it's kinda feeling like he is.

ummm i dont think its smart to trade the national league leader in rbi.

He is the Chosen One... the prophesies say he will restore balance to the line-up... His midi-chlorian level is through the roof, hence the monster home runs

Osvaldo is intriguing... At some point the FO will have to figure out what to do with him...I'd move Cantu back to 1st and get a 3B before I trade an rbi machine (unless the deal was too good to pass up)

Hmmm....who is this kid everyone is talking about? O something? 3B in minors for Marlins? Anyhoo...

Bring Stanton up this week. I honestly think he is the only hope for kick starting this team to the playoffs or a winning record this year. I don't care where he bats in the lineup, as long as it ain't 1st or 9th that is.

I remember that!

I really can't wait until Stanton comes up and replaces Maybin but more so, I just want everything to start clicking. I feel like, to some extent, we have all the pieces to be an above .500 team but they just haven't started working in synchronicity.

From what we are reading it seems like when Stanton gets here the team will move into first place, i only hope we don't rush him up before his time, then we all will be blaming Fredi and the FO.

Why would we blame Fredi? He has no say in who comes up.

I'm really annoyed that people are still talking about Stanton being rushed. Please tell me, what exactly does Stanton have to learn in the minors? I understand he strikes out quite a bit, but is staying in the minors going to fix that issue? Hell no. He has and always will strike out more than we hope, but that power is there right now.

In the minors right now, all he's learning is how to deal with getting intentionally walked every single game, and how far the next home run should be. I used to be on board with the keeping him in AA all year after his average beginning in AA last year, but after what he has done this year in AA, there simply isn't any reason to keep him down anymore.

It's apparent the Marlins are still extremely hesitant about calling him up, because they also have fears of rushing such a young talent, but you have to ask yourself right now, does Mike Stanton get better by going to AAA or staying in AA? What exactly is he going to learn? He's mastered the Minors as far as he is concerned. Fredi even said at the beginning of the season that once Stanton "completely demolishes AA, then we'll discuss calling him up". Well, here we are, nearly half a season later, leading all of baseball in home runs. He's gotten a better eye for the plate, the K's are still there and his contact rate is average, but that will always be an issue. Everything he needed to maximize in terms of individual talents while in the minors, he has done to the fullest extent. He's done with AA. He's done with the minors. He's ready for the show, and whether anybody else is ready for it we don't know, but Mike Stanton is without a doubt ready to make his major league debut, and Tuesday in Philly is the perfect time to call him up.

We need a spark. I'm not saying Stanton is the savior of this franchise, but he's possibly the spark this offense needs at this moment, and could be the X factor between making the playoffs and not making them.

Synchronicity - I'm totally adding that to my vocabulary.

Ghost in the Machine has always been my favorite Police album. Synchronicity got a little too........ creepy for me.
