June 22, 201016 yr Author he'll get to 10, then someone will goof. Maybin's not here anymore. are these Earned? No, just runs. The list for earned is a bit longer. Oh, Ok. I thought it was just earned runs.
June 22, 201016 yr If he stays on schedule, he'll get San Diego, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Washington his next four starts.

Though I'm not exactly bothered if he still wins us the game while giving up a few runs It didnt end versus 1st place Phillies? Or versus the Phillies later again? Or versus the first place Texas Rangers? Or against the MLB top Rays? Why would it have to end against those teams? Because they are good? I think JJ has proven that it doesnt matter who he faces. The only runs he gives up are mistakes.
June 23, 201016 yr If he enters the All-Star Break tied for the record, I could see him starting the ASG.
June 24, 201016 yr Author Jimenez gives up 6 earned in 5.2 last night(The humidor must've been broken ) and his ERA somehow only goes up to 1.60. Garcia gave up 3 earned in 6 on Tuesday. His ERA is 1.79. So the NL Cy Young race is wide open.
June 24, 201016 yr I would love to see a JJ-Jimenez matchup in the 4 game series in Miami the week following the All Star Game. Could very well happen, providing the rotations are set up the same atfer the break
July 3, 201016 yr Author He'd be up to 10 if not for Stanton.:banghead How was that rookie mistake? Its not like that situation doesn't happen at the lower levels.
July 8, 201016 yr Considering that Stanton was responsible for three of tonight's four runs, I'd say he's off the hook.
July 8, 201016 yr Author Can you drop it? I'm not mad at Stanton anymore. I was just thinking of what could've been. A couple of the other guys on that list probably had their streak broken in a similar way.
July 8, 201016 yr I mean, it's a ridiculously impressive list, and the thought that he could've have topped a list containing Gibson and Mathewson for a legit(ish) record would have been pretty awesome. Either way, he's just out-of-this-world good right now.
July 8, 201016 yr Is it safe to say that this is the best baseball of JJ's career? I mean... how much better can you really get, right? Point behind this is that it's such a shame to see it being wasted on such a garbage season.
July 8, 201016 yr Can you drop it? Yea. Please. May as well be complaining about Stanton barely missing that highlite catch that put that guy at 3B. Rookies will sometimes make mistakes trying to impress, especially after so nearly making a great play just before that. These things happen.

Point behind this is that it's such a shame to see it being wasted on such a garbage season. We may find out. As this season goes on he seems to be getting better. Pitch selection is better, control seems better, and velocity is higher at a consistent rate.
July 18, 201016 yr Author He'd have the record all to himself now if not for Stanton. (I'm just sayin')
