I'm a fan of Hayes, not so much Buck. I can't see Hayes being traded unless if it's part of a package deal to get a decent MLB starting pitcher or maybe a pretty good AAA Starting pitcher that is almost ready or something.

Personally think the only untouchables should be Gaby, Morrison, Stanton, Anibal.

 

JJ is a beast when he is healthy but he's just so damn fragile and if someone is willing to still pay high value for Hanley thinking this slump is just an aberration I say go for it.

C'mon, Hanley and JJ are still the future of this team. Don't need a new identity going into the new ball park. I want to see a team that even ESPN thinks can win going into 2012.

I disagree. I don't think Coghlan is going to be anything special. Really, what has this guy shown you that you like him so much? He flat out sucks.

He's never hit at any level in the minor leagues.

 

It's not likely that he's become a solid hitter overall because he's done well this year in a small sample of at-bats.

 

Backup catcher fine, I guess (for what it's worth, he never makes this team if John Baker is healthy). It's highly unlikely that he'll ever be a starter, and it's for good reason.

Hey man, it's just being realistic. Hayes isn't known for a bat. Or even for some power. So far he's been great from a backup position. Things change drastically once you become an everyday starter though. Add that to the fact that you want to play him out of his position... you're asking for trouble. Hayes can play 1st base. That doesn't necessarily mean he's a 1st baseman. I can play 1st base too. I'd imagine a lot of catchers probably can.

Tonight has firmly cemented in my mind the fact that Volstad SUCKS...Don't give me that his last few starts were quality and that makes him decent bullsh*t... If this team is serious about winning next year, I wouldnt even give Volstad the #5 spot next year...Get rid of that crap. As much as I like Gaby, I wouldn't cry if he was traded: Not only are we dealing with players that do not even have 2 years of MLB experience, but we are playing them for lack of better terminology "not in their regular positions...i.e. LoMo and Cogz" ... so the FO beleives that: A) Inexperienced kids can carry the offense all year without good veterans with them B) They can just stick players anywhere out on the field C) Bench and overall roster depth is not needed or important.... Next year's opening day roster is gonna really tell how serious they are

Disagree with you about Volstad. Regarding Sanchez, I can see him being traded because of Christian Yelich. If he develops well enough, then Sanchez can be a very good trading piece.
