Team colors may very well be Red,Orange,Yellow, and Blue

It's from Bleacher Report, so take it with a grain of salt but...

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/771470-florida-marlins-latest-on-trade-rumors-offseason-moves-and-new-color-scheme

Maury Brown, President of the Business of Sports Network has tweeted that he has gotten a look at the Marlins logo and that fans should expect to see an assortment of Skittles splashed on it.

Brown also tweeted to expect colors of the Marlins to follow along the lines of the stadium outside piping which would be red, orange, yellow, and sky blue.

Certainly, its not good news of those expecting it to be teal, black, or dark blue. Personal opinion here, what does red present? Blood? Ketchup? Yellow? Mustard? Maybe trying to include a color from each South Florida franchise (Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, Miami Dolphins)?

Right now, I'm not feeling those colors, and I'm certain Billy the Marlins wouldn't be either, I have never seen a Marlin with the color red on it and there is no word from Brown on what color is the most prominent.

But remember, owner Jeffrey Loria is an art dealer and his hands certainly would be all over this.

An official announcement on the logo and color scheme is expected on November 11, 2011.

Say it wont be so...

Yea I will take this with a grain of salt, I have already heard that rumor and I don't think it's possible to combine red yellow orange and blue.

Is there even any teams that have more than 2 primary colors (excluding black) ? and now were talking about 4, no way nothing is known.

.... oh and ....

God, I hope not.

I'm not sure what to think of this. I'd have to see the uniforms to see what it would look like. God, I wish they would just tell us already. I don't want to wait until November.

No, just no. I don't want us looking like a f***ed up fiesta.

Ford Fiesta. We're the next BankAtlantic Center. The next BILLBOARD.

Probably would surprise me at this point since the colored sections are going to have sponsors in the new stadium. Monopolize what you can.

I still don't understand why they have to change anything. I love the logo, name, colors and uniform.

well the name change is reasonable. It's weird having a team name that encompasses an entire state when there's another team in the state. (I'm looking at you, Texas Rangers.) Plus, the state of Florida kept dicking the Marlins over with the stadium, whereas the city of Miami helped the Marlins out.

As for the colors, logo, and uniform... yeah, I don't get it. The team should really capitalize on being the only team with teal as a primary color (the Mariners are some seafoam green or something...). The Rockies did it right. If you see purple in any relation to baseball you immediately think "Colorado Rockies." Green&yellow, you think Athletics. Black&yellow, you think Pirates. The Marlins could/should be a team that doesn't use red or blue like 80% of MLB teams.

Maybe the guy confused the current stadium logo for the new team logo.

Also, those colors being painted on the walls and parking facilities — I think I read they're meant to facilitate sitting & parking arrangements (color coding). Is that correct?

The Marlins were here first. The Rays can screw off.

Oh my. Not so sure those would go together. I do have outfits in 3 of the colors so that wouldn't be a problem.

But let's just "YAY" over having a new stadium no matter what. Its been way too long in coming.

The naming rights are the subject of negotiations with other parties and delays for any number of reasons are not just possible, they're likely.

Uniform design decisions are an entirely internal matter subject only to the final approval of MLB and their parameters are well known.

Two entirely different situations.

They won't want to wait too long on the logo/uniforms because they will want people to have time to buy merchandise before the season starts. They probably have everything almost decided by now; it makes sense for them to wait until after the World Series, so their target date seems about right.

Oh, and I think there is also a deadline for when MLB needs to be informed of any uniform changes. I believe that date is usually sometime in May, so it's likely that all of the changes for next season have already been decided.

Don't freak out until they release the info!

I only know that teal is gone.... I went thru the sales pitch for season tix this wk, which are much more reasonably priced than I expected....

Have my tour of the park set up for Thursday. Can't wait!

According to someone who has seen the New Era caps being prepared for next year-

Expect the rainbow that's in the stadium logo.

I'm nervous to see what it looks like.

There's a ton of New Era Marlins hats that are all kinds of weird colors. How can your source be so sure that the hats he saw are the ones for next year?
