Posted July 21, 201113 yr well someone had to do it. Brian Petersen fish of the game for a scoreless inning in relief. post your favorite image of what this game looked like.
July 21, 201113 yr really nice work by ricky tonight. good to see that his bad habits and inconsistencies from the past have faded. glad that we kept our momentum going by beating a team that we should beat. some great at bats by wes helms, now i know why we have him on this team. great example.
July 21, 201113 yr Well... I guess we have to hope that we win tomorrow afternoon and then play well against the Mets (who have taken 2 from the Cardinals) to really make some way in the NL East. Having said that... we'll probably finish the homestand at 0-6. Stay on the road, Marlins, don't come back.
July 21, 201113 yr Hmm. I'm thinking this is 7/20 postgame? Yeah, ricKy's inconsistency is really starting to get old. Wish Jack could get that turned around. At least boni has had a good month. This is the boni that could solidify the lead off spot.
July 21, 201113 yr When I turned this game on it was 13-0 in the third inning. Me -> :o  what a horrible game this was. I thought the Padres were playing a little league team just for fun
July 21, 201113 yr Well it just wasn't our night. I can't sleep I am so upset at what happened tonight. It's 1:30am and I can't sleep, damn it - Damn you Marlins. I love you and hate you sometimes.
July 21, 201113 yr If anibal goes before Ricky, I will do something really bad. This team sucks. well Anibal still has trade value.... ...THE f***ING PADRES
July 21, 201113 yr At least the horrible f***ing game made for a hilarious and entertaining tv broadcast. I especially enjoyed the shots of conine and minervini's dark post-game desk as tommy wondered what they'd talk about afterwards.
July 21, 201113 yr Congrats to Petersen for his stellar relief stint. For some reason I find it really interesting when a position player has to pitch, same when a pitcher has to play in the field. Petersen joins the following Marlins position players in pitching in a game: John Cangelosi, John Mabry, Jason Wood, Ross Gload and Cody Ross, if there are more please refresh my memory
