Tickets for sale

Featured Replies

I have two tickets for the Astros game on Friday as I cannot attend.

They are section 19 row 15 I believe.

I'm looking for 100 to 110 dollars for both.

Please place your bids.

Is it possible that we can pin a thread for whoever wants to sell their tickets?

I have four tickets for saturday in section 309, Row C in Vista Box. $20 a ticket, which is what they are going for on the Marlins website, but save the ticket surcharges.

Stubhub has been lower for Astros. I'm certain that won't be the case for several games this year. People were buying tickets in front of the stadium. Check all sources for the best deal.

there are $6 tickets now on stubhub for Sunday's game - in the home run porch section

The wife put all our tickets that we know we won't use on StubHub @ box office prices and hasen't sold any. Talked to others at the park and they are saying the same thing. I've given away a bunch of games to friends and clients so at least those won't go to waste. This home stand we don't have any wasted tickets.

Looking around the place Saturday night and I don't think there were 25K there. Looked alot less. Gotta wonder where these South Dade residents are that were bragging how they were going to show those from Broward and PBC how to fill a ball park up. Ya know, "You had your chance. Now we'll show you how it's done."

Yeah, theres no way we would have had even 8k at a sunday game at sunlife. If we draw 18 a game, the stadium is doing its job. If we draw 25k-30k a game, the team is doing it's job.

I am a giant fan, but very seldom did I buy tickets in advance at sunlife, just because of the weather (Rain or Heat). I would simply buy the day of the game once I knew how the weather looked. Only once did I get rained on in 15 years. Others weren't that lucky. I missd about 12 rain delays or rain outs in the last 4 years that way.

Now, I know the games gonna happen, and the weather won't be an issue (as far as the game, driving there is different) I already bought 5 games up front, and thats just April/May.

Ive never been to a sunday game, the heat would kill anyone in a double knit jersey and black cap---and I know. I went to a 12:40 getaway day Nats game a year ago and had to leave because my wife was burnt and couldnt take the heat anymore. Perfect health, but we were dead. Imagine an older couple of say 45-60 years of age, and children under 10. Too much to watch and worry about.

Same reason why I choose not to go to dolphins games.

I was curious how many folks were really there. I see a lot of empty seats on TV. About 25k max sounds right per game for the Astros homestand. I guess tickets won't be "the hottest seat in town" and will be available at will from scalpers at face value(or less) for most if not all games.

.

Kinda' dissapointing that they can only fill up 60% of the seats in the FIRST series at home, after everyone's been waiting for years to have a stadium closer, and with that stadium being so attractive. Makes one think what's gonna' happen come the dog days.

Aside from pure demand, I think people might be hesitant to buy in advance because they still have the mentality of "No biggie, I'll be able to get what I want on gameday for sure." Just a thought.

Solid is a good term. Not great, just acceptable. Take into consideration the new palace and the first home stand.....Shouldn't have been an empty seat in the place. I don't care who we were playing or what else was going on at the same time.

BTW At Saturday's game there was an entire empty section down the RF line, about halfway through the outfield. Looked like a security person was keeping people out of it. Couldn't figure out what was up with that.

That section was bought out by a group i believe, so was the one next to it. I know a teammate or mine had rented out section 36.

Last night game was the lowest as it should on a weekday. Anything about 20 on a weekday in my opinion is not bad against average teams.

Don't know if this is the right place to post this or not. I suggested we keep this thread for people who have tickets for sale. I have two tickets for tomorrow in Sec 309 Row C. $15 each. PM if interested.

Exactly what we are thinking. And not what it's supposed to be. What happened to a couple of these South Dade residents telling everybody Broward and PBC had their chance, now "we" are going to show you how to attend games???

This does not look good for season ticket sales for next year, and with that the official attendance numbers.

Still completely outselling the Sunlife crowd by good numbers.

Yeah, but the "official attendance numbers" don't really matter. What matters is that they have sold and will continue to sell out the suites and expensive seats. That concession sales and parking now generate a profit, not to mention stadium naming-rights. The last 5 or 10 thousand cheap seats don't determine financial viability. It's obvious that they don't give a crap about sell-outs, they cut season ticket sales off at 15K.

Samson just admitted that previous years' season ticket sales were about 2,000 rather than the 5,000 that was always "estimated." I guess they obfuscated that number because they were embarrassed that the entire NHL and many minor league baseball teams surpassed them. Those days are over.

They now have major revenue and profit sources they've never had before. I'm sure they're very, very happy with 32K for the D-backs and the joint was packed. All is financially well and even a decline in season ticket sales next year means very little, the revenue stream has been permanently and greatly enhanced, give or take 10 or 20%.

THAT'S what matters.

I won't even comment on the ridiculous panic and paranoia around here about the results of 19 games, no sales problem arises unless it's duplicated over the entire season, or even multiple seasons. Which is remotely possible, but highly unlikely.

As we all knew they would. And for the reasons I have been saying for the last couple years. Let's see if they give numbers next year on season ticket sales. I would be willing to bet it drops by about 50% regardless how the team does this year.

Of course now we know they fudge the numbers, so..........
