May 22, 201214 yr Why does it get so much hate. I personally love them, makes Star Wars a complete story. Episode I is the only one I am not a big fan of... Jar-Jar needed to die, the kid playing Anakin was terrible and the movie is boring as hell on Tatooine - the pod race is too damn long and stupid with that two-headed announcer

My favorite out of all six films is Revenge of the Sith.
May 22, 201214 yr WOW - everybody knows TESB is the best - the Luke/Vader revelation is one of the 5 best in movie history.
May 22, 201214 yr II and III are great, great films. But I can hardly compare them to IV, V, and VI. Two different generations of films, really.
May 22, 201214 yr Just watch this and you'll see why. By the way, this would be a very good investment of your time if you chose to watch the entire I,II,III reviews.
May 23, 201214 yr ESB - Excellent Story / Twist ANH - The first and best OBW ROTS - Battle on lava AOTC - SLJ cool, story meh ROTJ - Ewoks annoying TPM - Kiddie show; Darth Maul see red letter media
May 23, 201214 yr the prequel trilogy is soooooo bad, really. episode 5 is the great one. 4 is still really enjoyable. 6 is okay but it's where things started to go wrong. the prequel trilogy is just awful. the effects are pretty but everything else is such a mess I can't even begin. there's 5000 awful reviews all over the web that will say it better than I could. writing, pacing, story, just a total mess. In this scene I will describle exactly what I am doing even though you can clearly make it out on the screen and don't require me to do so! The original trilogy at least kept it simple. Saying that "it made it a complete story" doesn't help the case. I don't know how that makes the movies any more or less watchable. I would say kids might at least like them, except that episode 3 involves slaughtering children and the noble hero leaving his friend to die an excruciatingly slow horrible death, so not so much. II and III are an improvement on ep 1, but that ain't saying much.
May 24, 201214 yr @Qbanj, that review is annoying, just about annoying as the movie iteslf. As for the thread itself, the The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones (or whatever the hell that second movie was called) were complete wastes of time. Revenge of the Sith wasn't a half bad movie though. Definitely a solid couple of notches below IV-VI, and five hundred notches above I and II.
May 25, 201214 yr I think it just goes to say that there's an exponential increase in how good they are from I to VI.
May 25, 201214 yr Loved the originals and was a huge fan, I enjoyed episode 1 but not as much as the the original trilogy. Loved Darth Maul and the podrace. Sentimental though as its the first "new" star wars film I saw in theaters. Special edition releases I saw as we but they weren't new persay. The other two the acting went further to hell. Like revenge of the sith for what it was attack of the clones was a big blah except for the Sonic mines asteroid field scene.
July 19, 201214 yr I have to agree with what has been said here... The pre-quel was just such a HUGE dissapointment. I feel like they took the amazing character of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and pussified him to sh*t! He seemed like such a huge cry baby instead of a badass. I think what happened was that there was no way these 3 movies could live up to the expectations. We ALL loved those original 3 movies, and wanted these to be just as good. I was just talking to a friend of mine about this a few days ago! I was thinking of sitting down and watching all 6 movies in chronological order... maybe I will! Well, here is my order of films from favorite to least... IV - A New Hope III - Revenge of the Sith V - The Empire Strikes Back VI - Return of the Jedi II - Attack of the Clones I - The Phantom Menace I will probably be slapped for having Episode V so low, but I happened to really like Episode III (minus the acting from Hayden Christensen)
