BroncoBob27
Haven't read anything yet. Best guess....First Saturday after pitchers and catchers report. Biggest day of the year for ticket sales, both single game and some sort of season ticket packages. Be interesting to see how they are going to market those packages. Wild Card
Why would anybody buy season tickets unless they're premium seats? Go on stubhub and pay nothing to sit anywhere in the building...

Doubt it. But good luck with that plan.Worked great for me in 2012. I spent decent money on Opening Day $150/ticket for Lexus Gold seats without season tix and then sat all over the ballpark all season long for dirt cheap. I couldn't imagine that being an issue again in 2013... But good luck with your season tix.

So stub hub isn't going to be flooded like 2012.exactly! This makes me think we will see a drastic fall off in actual attendance. Very few will be willing to pay full price. Admin
Don't forget that the Marlins use dynamic pricing based on availability. Good chance that as a game gets closer, it's price will drop dramatically. Not 2012 StubHub levels obviously but still a bargain in comparison to advance sales. Going into 2012 we knew we would be dropping full season for some sort of partial plan for 2013. But then Samson said in a televised interview he didn't care if Broward and PBC fans only went to 5 games a year. It was a new team, new identity, and they were now looking for Dade fans and the biz community to fill those seats. That was a slap in the face. Don't want or need us anymore? Fine. We won't go. Let's see how that works out for ya, David. Kinda hard to believe this guy has a biz degree.

DcFishFan
Samson is going to be cracking down on seat-swappers in 2013. He announced that he is using the millions saved in traded player contracts to triple the number of ushers and equip them all with tasers. PhxPhin
marketing people still have jobs to do, I guess i even got a call today from a rep with the phoenix coyotes - left a messaging stating that they wanted to stay in touch through the lockout and discuss any games I'd want to attend once the puck drops this from a team with no owner, for a league with no season cross a couple bridges and then call

I'm sorry. Either you guys don't get it or you just don't get it. Simple Biz 101.......You don't push any loyal customer base away, no matter how small, just because you move a few miles and concentrate on another customer base that was never loyal anyway. How many times, just on these boards, did we hear Dade residents telling everyone how they were going to show all the other counties how to attend and support a baseball team when this new palace was being built? Well now they have about the same type team that JRS almost always had, but with a far superior ball park. Distorted civic pride and/or machoism be damned, time to put up or shut up.
