This means Nick Green made the team, right?

Increases his odds.

Is there anyone else in the organization competing for a spot/capable of playing SS? I believe Downs has played it before, but I doubt he's good at it.

Chris Valaika has some time there, not sure what he is defensively.

Depending on who makes the team I guess you could slide Solano over to SS, put Polanco at 2B and have Dobbs/Kouz take 3B.

Would be a disaster with Solano at SS.

Much like his entire minor league career at SS.

Though tbh,

Figgins isnt a ss either, so I dont know how this affects ss at all really.

He has played 27 games at short in his career, and not really that well either.

I think Erick's just talking backup though for Hechavarria. no good options really.

No need to back up Hech, he's an All Star caliber player there for years to come.
