Stanton's gotta crowd the plate a little more than that, he's getting killed on the outside and can't reach it even if he did swing.

I want to say that some of these guys will be better just with a year of experience under their belt... so maybe Hech, Jake, Deets, Ozuna, these guys will hit a little more.

 

On the other hand, they don't seem to have an ounce of plate discipline. So I'm not sure if I can say it or not.

 

I expect hech and Jake to improve. I think Ozuna will have his power surge while probably not hitting that great. And dietrich probably at AAA

I mean...everyone expecting him to hit .290-.300. But when you are looking this lost at this point in your carrer...I mean WTF.

I think .280-.290 was a realistic expectation heading into this year. You can argue protection but he didn't get much last year, and people are pitching to him more than some would like to admit.

I've actually always expected him to not hit for a high average. Anyone who strikes out as much as he does normally doesn't project to hit for a high average long-term. He can still draw walks and hit bombs though...that would be nice.
