As big of a hit as Reed Johnson got yesterday, he was awful today absolutely awful. His at bats were infuriating.

You have to do everything you can to get Stanton up there and you swing at the first pitch inside. I don't know what his fucking problem with the inside pitch is.

Also, the starters are awful again and Slowey has no business here.

When Heaney gets here, Slowey is gone.

When Gregg gets here, I imagine the odd man out is Jennings since Wolf will be in the bullpen.

After that, we're ... still fucked?

Pretty much. The Marlins don't have enough pitching depth right now with Fernandez out.

This one lame game aside, overall this team just really needs to get over the hump into the next level by now. All things considered we've had an excellent year overall but this hovering between .500 and three games over .500 is super frustrating. Every week now seems to be a three game winning streak followed by a three game losing steak and then rinse and repeat. Tired of it.

Correct.

I still think we should make a run at the Cubs Hammel. He will cost us far less prospects, and much less money than Samardjawhatever.

Guys our offense is scoring A LOT of runs. This is a borderline miracle really. The pitching has been really quite atrocious but what can you expect when you put randy wolf out there every 5 days. Good thing we're saving Heaney for our Sept playoff run.

Slowey pitches like he doesn't care

I think the team is lucky to be where it is right now. It's really not this good on paper; there are just too many holes between the lineup, rotation, and bullpen. I suppose a lot of the Marlins' good fortune has to to with the weak NL East.

Or you can start the playoff run now or there won't be a run to make.

When is the other rummy coming back from his concussion

Playoff run? Not with Wolf and Turner in there, and not with half of our current bullpen, yeah get those three things fixed and id put money that were playoff bound, but currently...no

It's frustrating as hell as there is some great young talent in this team, and some good-to-great experiences hands as well. It's just that there is some utter garbage as well that has no place on an MLB roster - plus we're all scared of the future: Anyone with trade value will get traded for prospects that'll under-perform, with the gaps filled by fast-declining veterans. It's the Loria way.

I honestly don't think that's for certain. Even Loria has to see the improvement in this team and that they're suddenly closer to contention than they've been in years. It's too soon, even for Loria, to suddenly trade everyone away.

Not picking on just you directly but it's like some people think Loria has zero desire to win. While we know he wants to do everything as cheap as possible, he does want some championships if he can get em.

Eject button needs to be pressed right now on Wolf, Turner, Hand, Slowey, Jennings, Hatcher, Furcal and Solano. Keep Gregg away from here.

Replace with Heaney, Disco, Flynn, Dietrich, Bohr, and even keep one of Wolf or Turner in the bullpen and I think most of us would live with the results. Open mind on Tejada in July who can actually still hit.

Want a starting five of Alvarez, Eovaldi, Heaney, big Salad and Disco now. A trade for Hammel would be nice but this is Loria/Marlin front office we're talking about. I'm sure they're scowering the Triple AAA level right now looking for the next great washed out veteran arm.

Well said, but can all this be done by July 31 or even better, July 1? Don't forget that eject button on Dunn. I like the replacements though.....how can they possibly do worse than what we have now. Also this 3 win, 3 loss in a row thing is CRAP.

Sure beats the heck out of losing 100 games like last year.

Braves get the same treatment as us. Down 5-1 in the bt 9, they come back but now angels up 11-5 in the 13th. F U BRAVES!

Yeah, despite losing our last three games, we are still only one game out of first. Fortunately we aren't the only ones sucking right now

Also, I see Furcal is hitting below the professional line.
