He should grip the bat behind the label and it'll flatten out?

Where is Jon Rauch?

Yawn. I guess you had the TV volume off and you weren't reading the papers when Jose got hurt and everyone was saying the logical guy to step up was Eovaldi.

to step up and pitch well. not saying he can become Jose. really stop.

When Jose got hurt, people thought the season was over because there is no other Jose. Jose is our lord and savior (if you're really religious, this just got worse).

LOGICALLY, yes. At the time, he pitched very well, almost ace-like and definitely good enough to be the #2 guy that would step up or at least stay consistent with what he was doing. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened. Alvarez has picked it up a bit and carried a lot of the load as of late, so I give him credit for that.

Now get off your pedestal, be careful when you step down to not break your hip, and relaaaax.

Most of you are like...teenagers, right? Or very early 20s. That means the last time the Fish won you guys were like what? 10? Hilarious.

3) Of course I can be completely wrong about the kid. Or I could be completely right. What freakin difference does it make? None of us are baseball geniuses or we'd be getting paid for our opinions, not giving them away for free. Of course we all believe we know more than the next guy, that's natural. But it's not worth calling each other names on the internet over it. Like I said, if we were sitting in the neighborhood bar watching the game, you wouldn't be running your mouths. So why do it here? Because here you can get away with it and you won't get slapped in the mouth? You realize what that makes you, right? So let's all just knock it off and root for our team to win. We got that in common with each other, we shouldn't be fighting with each other. We should be fighting with Braves fans. I hate Braves fans. And Nats fans and Phillies fans and ,,,,

The only person running there mouth is you right now.

Lets make a point. I joined this forum when in 2008 when I was 14. I made a lot of dumb posts, and for those posts I was called an idiot quite a bit.

I did complain back then and whine about opinions and sh*t? Yeah. But I also took it as a reason to do some research and backup my opinions with actual data that supports my claims.

This whole "on the internet you can say things" sh*t is a horribly misguided view. If we were in a bar and you were going off about Heaney being a horrible pitcher based on nine innings, I sure as hell would tell you that you need to rethink your position and give you some idea about what kind of pitcher he was in the minors to back up what I say. I didn't resort to insulting you, I did not belittle your points. I did get pissed and fought back when you started insulting me and just about every person posting right now on this board. The point of this site in my opinion is to get a round about view of what the fanbase thinks about all aspects of the team. You're not going to agree with everyone, but I damn well listen to what everyone has to say and take it into account. Hell, on a number of occasions arguments people like nny, lou, BenderRobot, el penguino, Erick, and many others who have contributed on this board have posed to me have made me change my stance on certain players, trades, moves, etc... Listening to what others say, regardless of their age, is an important part of becoming a better fan. The truth is sometimes there are people more invested in a team and follow them more closely. Many of us follow the minors closely and understand the status of these players coming up. Instead of belittling the players and us after telling you to relax after nine innings, maybe you should take what we say into account a bit.

You need to be a lot more open minded. I was pretty damn close minded about my ideals when I first joined the board. Being open to new concepts makes you a more informed baseball fan, hell even a more well rounded person.

This whole back and forth is just infuriating because you're attacking us when all we were asking was for you to let players play the game for more than a games worth of innings before capping his ceiling.

Most of you are like...teenagers, right? Or very early 20s. That means the last time the Fish won you guys were like what? 10? Hilarious.

Seriously, this is BroncoBob's revenge, right?

When I joined this board, Rab called me an idiot. It turns out he was right.

Maybe it would help the young kid if he had a catcher who could block a slider.

I'm usually inclusive of new members (even the ones with crazy posts), of this guy is simply trolling at this rate. It's taking away from the game thread and has taken my mind away from the game a little bit as well.

I don't care what Corona's age is. I literally don't care what anybody on this board's age is. I've seen teenagers form more well rounded thoughts on a many things than guys in the 40s, 50s, 60s, whatever.

You're just being an asshole and troll right now.

Rab called me an idiot in 2009.

On here and on AIM!

I shouldn't be wasting my time to all you teenagers, because you're younger than I am. I'm going to make that point abundantly clear by continuing to talk to you, telling you that you're young an naive over and over.

Well I'm done with this thread tonight. Thanks Corona, took the fun out of baseball for the day.

You need to care about age because it's very relevant! He's 58.

Sure thing, kid. But thanks for making my point for me; maybe you can explain it to Eric. One thing we found out for sure was that Eovaldi could not step up and lead the pitching staff when Jose got hurt. Just like Anibal Sanchez couldn't do it back when JJ got hurt in '11. And it does not look like Heaney's going to be our savior either.

Seriously, this is BroncoBob's revenge, right?

There have been several older men (like in their 50s/60s) who have joined this site and they have all had the same personalities. They scorn younger people and think that they know more because they are "older and wiser." It's quite funny how often this stuff happens on this site.

I think that some of them have used multiple accounts. For awhile I suspected that ... might be Marlins2003, but I'm less sure now. I think that curveball might be OldTimer, but Corana sounds a bit like OldTimer too.

Who's Eric?
