When this whole thing started, I never once said that Heaney threw harder than Alvarez.

The conversation basically went like this...

Corona: "Eovaldi is no Jose Fernandez!"

Me: "We know."

Corona: "Eovaldi is struggling...he's no Jose Fernandez!"

Me: "Nobody said that!"

Corona: "Eovaldi will never be that ace."

Me: "We have no ace right now."

Corona: "Eovaldi will never be Jose Fernandez!"

Me: "Heaney will probably be our best pitcher from here on out."

I mentioned Heaney, specifically, because of his secondary pitches. It made sense in the context of the discussion because Corona kept mentioning that Eovaldi only has two pitches. He also said that Eovaldi will never be Jose Fernandez! I said that Alvarez probably won't be 2.39 ERA good the rest of the way. Alvarez's secondary stuff isn't as good as Heaney's. That was what I said. The secondary stuff Heaney has will probably make him better long-term, hence the reason why he's been the better prospect this whole time. This is basically what was said!

You know what Corona. You want to act like a child so be it. You've been the only person I see here resorting to name calling and belittling, so I will end my arguing with you with a hearty FUCK YOU and if you don't like it here, FUCK OFF

Damnit I went down to your level. I feel bad now. But seriously your response to my post what incredibly infuriating. You're like the stupid people in the movie Moneyball but in real life.

"Rather than beef, these food items are actually made with a substance known as 'taco meat filling,' " the lawsuit says. The firm contends that that Taco Bell shouldn't market the taco meat filling in question as beef because their testing shows that it only contains 36 percent ground beef. If that's true, Taco Bell's meat filling product would fall below the already generous USDA standard for it to qualify as meat -- the present standard demands it consist of at least 40 percent meat. This inspired Gizmodo's Jesus Diaz to crack, "Perhaps they should call it 'Almost Taco Meat Filling.'"

The remainder of the Taco Bell's meat filling product consists of "extenders" like water, "Isolated Oat Product," wheat oats, maltodrextrin, soy lecithin, maltodrextrin, anti-dusting agent, autolyzed yeast extract, modified corn starch, sodium phosphate and silicon dioxide.

I just got a little bit of diarrhea reading that

I like his slider and change up and I know it's only his second start but I find Heaney somewhat underwhelming. Anyone?

Looks like a polished lefty with a pretty nasty slider and a change up that needs work. Pretty much exactly what was expected.

And maybe a better defensive catcher.

Corona was expecting a 0.00 ERA.

That pick off would have never happened if Reed Johnson was in the lineup-

Ben Chapman must be furious that Ozunas in left.

Heaney's always lived and died by his control. His 120 K's to 19 BB's in college pretty much told that story. His fastball never had too much zip on it, and his off speed stuff has some nice life to it although I wouldn't call these pitches outstanding. But the great thing about Heaney is when he's hitting the corners, which he did in the minors a lot, he's really hard to hit.

BTW, canada-marlin just showed Corona how exactly to express an opinion WITHOUT acting like a complete jackass. He wasn't making any longstanding points and stated he simply found him underwhelming given the scouting reports on him. THAT IS HOW YOU STATE A FREAKING OPINION ON THIS WEBSITE.

SHUT UP KID GET OFF THE INTERNET AND FACE ME

I would love to see Mathis catch Heaney for a while----

I actually think that Heaney's slider is pretty outstanding. Then again, that's just my eye test and Wildcard has the best eyes on here. :p

I agree. His slider has looked really good so far. Asche just swung and missed at 3 in a row.

Taco bell has never given me diarrhea. I've had some very nice, expensive food give me diarrhea tho.

We'll see how long never lasts. Meanwhile the whatever it was you ate is rounding the bases in your colon.

It's clear to see he settles down but you cannot put your team in a hole....especially a team that loves blowing opportunities.

Score!!! for my sanity please score and win.
