The point is, he wasn't even blocking the plate either. The throw took him up the line which as far as I know is allowed.

Agreed. Blame Stanton because his throw wasn't perfect. Imagine if the reds right fielder did the same thing, and ruled us out? I would about flip my shit.

trade news had all the headlines. I don't even think it was on ESPN last night.

I know denorfia being traded is world shattering news, but why not analyze the GAME that we love than these trades. I get it, big deal trades. But the reds and marlins, who didn't really make any moves, are theoretically battling each other for a possible spot. This ain't rockies vs. Cubs people.

Dude we get no love, it's always been like that. The damn Rays are getting more playoff talk than us and we are closer than they are.

If marlins go to the World Series this year and sportscenter is on. As long as there is nfl reg season, nhl preseason and nba offseason news going on, we will be shown last. Yes indeedy.

Not only could they not tell you what Mathis should have done but the ball so clearly took him up the line, he had possession before Cozart got there, and that little bitch Cozart only moved as if he didn't have a line when Mathis turned around to make the tag.

I just don't get it. Honestly, I really want to walk over to the replay room and ask.

MLB should be forced to put out a video explaining exactly how Mathis should have handled that play. They won't because they can't without just letting the ball go by which would look ridiculous.

The other thing really pissing me off is not only did they give the Reds the tying run, they made our pitcher wait over 6 minutes. Basically making it much more likely he would give up the go ahead run as well. Total joke.

You totally have a feeling that the next time a marlins is out at home, they will ask for review. Everybody will. Because everybody is on egg shells.

I'm praying the exact situation comes up reversed tonight.

3hrs and 40 minutes.

Watch tonight, there'll be an actual block of the plate when a Marlins player tries to score and it'll be ruled out and upheld.

I'll never watch MLB again.

i gooot piss off at cinn player toooo their laughing the way marlins were protesting their evening joking i tell by way their talking each other. game was giving to them fuckkk mlb and cinn

As shitty as the call was, let's not forget the inexcusable fuck up by everyone's favorite lefty reliever.

I can't even blame Dunn here... Relievers and other players screw up every night and sometimes it's up to their team mates to bail them out. Last night yeah Dunn screwed up again but after that Morris, Stanton, and Mathis all did their part to be a team and save Dunns ass. And they did it to perfection. That's the end of it until MLB took all that away.

Also, I still think Cozart actually had a decent lane, he could have slid. Mathis didn't even purposely lunge at Cozart once he got the ball. I think McGehee actually pointed this out, Mathis got the ball and basically extended his arms for the tag while also somewhat lowering his body into a seated or crouching position as if he was actually trying to give Cozart a little extra room.

I don't see how that doesn't count for something nor how Cozart isn't somehow required to slide.

Oh, of course. Despite Dunn pulling a Dunn, we still should have gotten out of that inning with no runs scoring.
