Bleacher report article.

Bleacher report- wow I'm impressed. Did you have to click through the slide show to find the quote that suites your narrative?

Do you Want to play a fucking game- it's pretty fucking clear.

It's called, let's see how much of a moron FishFan14 is.

more of a moron than the guy who can't read what my username is and correctly type it into a reply?

And if you take that ridiculous rookie year out of it, those #s across the board drop significantly.

Statistically, he would be the fourth best outfielder...on the Marlins...this year. Cespedes is not very good no matter how hard you wish it to be so.

No he would not be the 4th best OF on the marlins this year. He has been pretty clearly better than Ozuna and depending on whether you would need power or on base percentage him and Yelich are close offensively but Cespedes has a much better arm.

Thats pretty ridiculous to say that he would be our 4th best OF

Perhaps you should get up to date on how bleacher report has actually hired reputable reporters in recent years.

Also you can't just take an entire year of a three year career so far out of his resume. Can i just take his clearly bad year last year out of it? His numbers will go up then and it will help prove my point like you!

Also that article was written by Danny Knobler, someone who works for CBS I believe.

=Yoenis Cespedes=

Rookie Year: .296/.356/.505 in 487 AB

Since: .246/.296/.453 in 978 AB

There is a big swing in BABIP between his rookie year and the rest of his career, although even if you averaged out to the middle, he is still a very mediocre hitter.

Well then agree to disagree i really don't care about this anymore. you have your opinion i have mine. He has a full run on both Yelich and Ozuna in WAR this year but he still would be our 4th best outfielder.

I had a different WAR calculation on ESPN then. But still, not our 4th best OF.

Whether or not Cespedes would be our 4th best OF'er is irrelevant. He's a good player. If he would be our 4th best OF'er, it just shows that we probably have the best OF in baseball right now.

Because our OF is great. (not to mention that your point is debatable)

Your use of hyperbole is ridiculous. Cespedes has absolutely been worth his contract.

That is what you should have said in the first place. That is accurate.

What you have been saying, and what is inaccurate, is that "he's not good at all." Basically.

Not that good =/= not good at all, although I suppose I can see the confusion.

I basically see him as a much older, much more expensive version of Ozuna.

Cespedes had an insane rookie year but has been pretty meh since then.

Imagine if Ozuna became a FA this year. He would get more money than any of us would care to believe. Same for Yelich. I hope they're smart enough to extend the WHOLE outfield and not just Giancarlo...
