Now time to avenge that disaster last week. 8 down, 84 to go.

Yea this Dee Gordan guy is pretty good. Anyone talking about his WAR or OBP? I know he ain't gonna hit .450 but his talent is obvious.

It would be really nice to take the series from the Mets. Then we get the Phillies. Then we should get Henderson Alvarez back at some point, right? When is that happening?

My favorite thing about Dee so far is his career low k rate and career high LD/GB rate

Today is day 13 of the injury. Went on the 15 day DL and they said it could be anywhere from 15 to 30 days. So I'm guessing it'll be two weeks until he's back.

From April 20:

Alvarez (shoulder/elbow) is expected to play catch at some point this week, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reported Monday.

Analysis: The team is reportedly optimistic about the injury at this point as an MRI revealed only inflammation. It's possible that Alvarez could return in about three weeks and get back into the rotation by mid-May if all goes well as he ramps up his physical activity. The Marlins will rely on David Phelps in the meantime to hold down Alvarez's spot in the rotation.

If we're a .500 team by the time Jose returns, I'd be content with that.

Well I expect that to be Dee and Hech's batting averages too, so we should be fine come July :)

Best mid season acquisition any team is gonna make this season

If Hech just does what he did last year offensively, and his defensive metrics improve (which I don't see why they wouldn't, he has all the tools out there), he's not a bad guy to have on the team.

I said this about both Hech and Dee before the year started.

The biggest problem was Saltalamacchia and he's already been replaced, so woo.

The biggest problem now is the lack of top end talent in our rotation. Hopefully those guys can survive until Alvarez and Jose come back. The bullpen should be fine, and the lineup should be fine, as well. Dee and Hech will probably slow down at some point, but we've gotten nothing from Morse so far, and Ozuna's power hasn't shown up yet. Also, Yelich probably won't suck all year. It'll be nice to get him back, and it's also nice to have Ichiro instead of Reed Johnson while we wait.

Ichiro over Reed Johnson is such an underrated upgrade. Love it. Also, I went to yesterdays game and I swear I saw more Japanese fans than I have combined in my three years going to the ballpark. Not even making a joke about it, it's kinda cool .

I expect a better showing against the Mets this time. Event though the Marlins were swept, the games were close and it seems like a few key hard hit balls by the Marlins with men on base were always caught.

Also has a terrible walk rate BUT I can deal w it if the Ks stay at a minimum. He's been great.
