Jose dominates

Anyway we can get those games to count towards our record and our stats?

Wait... it was 3.1 innings... that means Mazzaro came in next for a couple innings then Cishek came in and blew the game right?

So about 1 month until the return if he's making his first rehab start is on June 6th.  He'll probably get 2 starts at Jupiter and then 2 at New Orleans, right?

I would say 5 starts before he comes back. Throw in AA in there after a Jupiter start. He comes back right after the All Star game. That allows us to reshuffle the rotation as well.

i hope to god they aren't rushing him is all

They are. You know they are. At this rate, we might go to a three man rotation of Jose, Hendo, and Latos.

He put some MLB The Show type numbers. Nice stuff.

I'd like to say how much I despise comments like this... whenever people say "he's putting up video game numbers"... I still play MLB video games when I get a rare free moment and I never put up numbers like that. I often put up some Latos like reality numbers and end up cursing myself for even trying to play. I'm making a joke of it but really, video games aren't as easy as they used to be, especially if you play them under the proper difficulty settings.

MLB The Show player ratings on Jose Fernandez are insane. I played it on All Star a couple times and still put up similar numbers. First regular season game on Opening Day with MLB The Show was 2014 I threw a perfect game with 21 Strikeouts but on Rookie Mode since it had been months that I played. That was insane regardless.

I agree the video games have gotten really realistic though.

Will whoever said that Jose would be equal to the quality of a #5 starter please stand up?

Who said that?

Dear god, I feel like I give plenty of shit to Marlins players but I would never even think that! I don't think Jose will be the Jose of old right away, but Jose at half-Jose is at least a #3 starter. He'll be an ace again before long, probably by the end of the season and definitely in 2016.

Honestly, I do think he'll be the Jose of old right away.  That's just the type of guy he is.

I sincerely hope you're right, but even in the best case scenario of him coming back like he never missed a beat, he'll still be on a pitch count and likely won't be able to go too deep into games.

lol who da fuq said that. He probably won't be 100% back to normal (I'll point to harvey who is having a great year, but has given up as many HR this year as he did in 2013) but he'll be better than the shit we throw out there every night.

Curious he's already at 97. Wonder if he gains velocity like JJ did post TJ. Can you imagine?
