the Nationals have won 7 in a row while the Marlins have lost 5 in a row.

If anyone has clung on to some remote hope that the season was not over, it ended tonight.

the Marlins are the 3rd worst team in all of baseball.

Next vs. Dodgers matchups

Brett Anderson (W) vs Justin Nicolino (L)Clayton Kershaw vs Tom KoehlerZack Greinke vs Jose Urena

And Stanton might be hurt.

he's getting a left hand X-Ray

tomorrow Fernandez will break his leg

pain is this organizations default emotion

It's been a really sad season and it's only getting worse by the game.  Hopefully Jose can bring some fun back into this season.  All I know is that I have never been more bored watching Marlins baseball.  The hitting coaches should be fired.  Not that it would make a difference at this point but someone has to pay the price for the shit that I am watching on TV every night.

Did he try and punch Jennings after the game?

This is pretty much it. All that talk about "it's early, there's still time, we're still only a few games back" has faded in the last week. I'm not one to give up early but this really feels like it's really over now. Barring something like a three game win streak, we're done. The Nats have figured it out, we're fifteen games under, and 11.5 behind. It's no longer early, there isn't much time, and we're no longer just a few games back. What a horribly depressing disappointment of a season.

yeah man.  Since the day i went to that friday game, we have won 4 times. The saturday i was there, a fluke win vs. The yankees, an inexplicable blowout, and a game where we won with a guy making his mlb debut. And its not like its could have, should have won this and that. No, they are actually getting their ass kicked in these games as well. Been to any game since the yankees blowout game? Do you plan on going to more?

The Marlins aren't just losing games.  They're getting their dicks kicked in.

Tomorrow's Marlins vs. Kershaw game, likely without Stanton, is probably the safest bet of the season.

couuuuuuuuld be a perfecto if kershaw maneuvers around speed like gordon...and um, um, who else is fast?

Eh, perfect games and no hitters are more luck than skill (see: Humber, Phillip; Galarraga, Andres) but I'd be confident is saying that Kershaw will "shut down" the Marlins. I put shut down in quotes because I think something has to actually be on in order to be turned off, right?
