March 16, 201610 yr At Marlins camp today, Bonds won a HR derby against several Marlins including Stanton
March 16, 201610 yr Is it really such big news that the greatest hitter of all time is...shockingly...still a really good hitter? I mean, I know he's 51 and hasn't played pro baseball in almost a decade, but it's not like you forget how to hit, and he seems to have stayed in great shape anyway.

March 16, 201610 yr Author He beat out Stanton in a hey let's have a HR derby moment. That's damn impressive. <3 Bonds. Haters gonna hate
March 16, 201610 yr There are two reasons why: 1. Marlins are dumb and didn't realize this could give them a ton of media attention 2. Marlins are smart and realized bonds would make all their hitters look like fools I know this is borderline humorous...but no one has looked particularly good in camp. Maybe there is something to this? Half the team is, or has been, DTD...meanwhile...I think just about every pitcher has been lit up (see Chen today). With no farm to actually challenge them are these the signs of an extremely long season? Just looking for a few positives here...other than our 51 yearold hitting coach...can hit.
March 16, 201610 yr Write a story about it He got you @SongInTheAir Perfect time to drum up those clicks with an article.
March 16, 201610 yr Author I don't think it's even a story, hence no article. Also, go fuck yourselves. <3 HATER!!!!

China sellers will do this, too.
March 16, 201610 yr Winner of today's HR Derby: BONDS (*) As expected, many Floridians are demanding a recount of the totals
March 16, 201610 yr Author Who would stand a chance other than Stanton anyway? I'd definitely put my money on Bonds over Bour.
March 17, 201610 yr I think a more pressing question that we need to ask is who was pitching? I'd bet either Jackson or Hand

March 17, 201610 yr Culture of losing: when your hitting coach out homers you the entire team in a derby... You need to write a book.
March 17, 201610 yr Author Ha Stanton/Yelich saying it wasn't a HR derby today. It was one in reality maybe without using the words "HR derby" but really why does it even matter?
